I think that the song is "sung" by Ciel. As in this is how Ciel is thinking, since he has scars, Sebastian hasn't ever cried, (except for the manga due to chemicals,) and he probably hasn't really shown Ciel that much love. Not to mention Ciel still has to keep going because of his revenge.

For some reason, I found Black Butler two years ago. The music, and the storytelling, it just clicked. And I'd recently stopped working on my original characters and the whole dimension I'd given them - but the black butler music, atmosphere etc, inspired me and suddenly, I was creating storylines left and right! And it's not like I took black butler storylines and characters, no, but something about this show helped spew out every creative idea I could imagine, and suddenly I was writing pages and pages a day. Eventually I grew distant from Black Butler, this and last year. And my storylines got repetitive. I was pretty upset and had no idea how to grow out of this. Then by some magic, you come out with this. The background music, the moment you said "the autumn wind is so unforgiving" I cracked out my notes app and got to work. It got it all back up and running. I've already figured out a plot point I've been struggling with for months. Thank you!!!!!

This is just a theory but remeber that moment in the ova of when sebastian finished reading that story to ciel and he said "young master..?" after he didnt respond only to remember he took ciels soul and ciel was dead or "became a empty shell long ago" some people may say sebastian never cared for ciel but i feel like after seastian took ciel's soul he would probally question like what will he do now he took ciels soul and now he was dead some people may say that he will move on yeah but i feel like sebastian might feel like whats the point since ciel put him through much and for once he may have enjoyed his dull demon life and now that ciel is gone he may serve another master but it will never be the same feeling of how he felt or his experince during him serving ciel phantomhive and being in the manor my whole point is that maybe sebastian felt a little sad or had regret taking ciels soul because no matter what master he will serve he will never have the same experince of serving ciel. Honestly, the anime is pretty good- one of my firsts- but it has a lot of filler and can get very confusing. I would suggests reading the manga first, but if you are going to watch the anime, the series goes in this order :Black butler, black butler season 2 (don't watch this season, it's trash and is shunned by almost all of the fandom), Black Butler Book of murder (OVA), Black Butler Book of Circus (season 3), and Black Butler Book of Atlantic (OVA)

Tip: For future video shoots, you might want to look into tinted eye lenses that act like sun glasses. Would make it possible to sing without as much squinting. If I was you, I would read the manga. Only the first have of the anime is canon, the rest is bad and the second season is worse. But if you do watch the anime only watch to the end of the curry and Indian prince arc, then pick it up again on Book of Circus.

I apologize if I've said this before, sometimes I make comments on videos and then forget I left them, but I really wish they made Ciel an adult. There's so much sexual subtext within the show/manga between him and Sebastian, and this English cover of the opening theme doesn't help lol. Like I love this cover, it's so amazing, I definitely think it's supposed to be sung from Ciel's perspective, towards Sebastian. It makes me want to ship the two of them, but then I remember Ciel's just a kid, and just... ew... no, Sebastian's not a pedophile! Dammit, why didn't they just make Ciel an adult so I could safely watch this show without fearing the FBI breaking down my door? XD

I see this song as more of Ciel viewing Sebastian as more of a guardian. Due to Ciel's unstable emotions due to his past, and the fact that he constantly ignores his emotions, it's obvious that Ciel is very unstable and attaches himself to the only person who was there when he needed it. Sebastian. Thus, when I hear this song, I imagine that the "love" that he sings about is more of a parental love than a romantic love. Though, the song has warped emotions, which imitate Ciel's warped mind due to the abuse he suffered. Ciel seems to be unsure about his feelings towards Sebastian. He fears losing him because he's grown dependent on the demon, but at the same time, he attempts to view Sebastian as a tool. Ciel knows of Sebastians true feelings about him, which is the hunger and lust to consume his soul. This knowledge must hurt Ciel somewhat, who is still a child. When his parents were murdered, Ciel was left with a void and devoid of love. So he filled it with Sebastian, and most likely wishes that he could gain that lost love. Thus, I see this song as not shipping the two together, but actually portraying Ciel's confusion and longing for the void to be filled. He wishes for someone to care for him, and he wishes for that someone to be Sebastian. It perfectly describes the abusive relationship between Master and Demon. In which the young Ciel is desperately reaching out for love, yet the heartless Sebastian is unable to give it to him, and only wishes to consume him. It's kinda like unrequited love, but I don't really see it in a romantic way.

I think he sees sebastian more like a parent or elder sibling. Sebastian seems to show interest in Ceil but not of a romantic nature more so admiration and curiosity and the way Ceil thinks.

@@shadezeverim3654 There is definitely an ambiguous relationship between Ciel and Sebastian. It's done on purpose, it's even very clear. A butler would never treat a young man like that in the late 1800s, it would have ruined Ciel's reputation. However, I think it's a good way to portray reality. Ciel is a traumatized kid, and he's not being helped, so it's only natural that he takes refuge in his trauma. And Sebastian doesn't help him, in fact he drowns him even more, because if he doesn't, Ciel wouldn't need him. For me this is not a romantic relationship at all, but rather an extremely toxic relationship, where they use each other for very dark and twisted purposes. There's nothing romantic here, it's fucked up, just like traumas are in real life. It's actually quite the opposite of what people who ship "sebaciel" would want. Sebastian is not loving person, he's a demon and therefore a liar, and Ciel is a traumatized child who is just trying to survive but got trapped by a liar. It's how I see things.
