Peter Phung It's dark, but if you're okay with that then it should be good! Word of advice though: After the curry arc the anime strays from the manga plot BIG TIME, so if you don't want filler skip the first season after the curry arc, and skip the second season (total filler...some argue it's even fanfiction-y, and not the good kind is what people who don't like it petition. Watch at your own risk.), and go straight to season 3 which is Book of Circus. There's also plenty of OVAs you can watch at any time. =) Book of Murder directly follows Circus btw. ^.~

Here’s what I think this song is about ~It start on Ciel’s POV~ Try with all of your might, but none can hide from this unforgiving moonlight: You can try as much as you want and as hard as you can but you can’t hide from the pain you bare in your chest. Bare your scars like a prayer, another wish lost to the night: Show your scars proudly, they’re like your faith in a god. Every step I take, every fallen tear, weaves another lie, a curse I will bare: Its like Ciel saying his tears are baring a curse upon him. Like the embarrassment of being weak. He steps forward, too proud to be pained. There’s a part of me, struggling to break free. It lives within the dark: There’s a part of him they doesn’t want to do this. There’s a part of him who wants to forget his pains and continue normally, but that part will never be shown. He’s already gone too far, his soul will belong to Sebastian soon enough anyways. Will tomorrow come at last? In a million shards of broken glass: It’s him asking when his chapter will finally end and when their contract will finally finish. His memories displaying in his head surging millions of shards of broken glass. Fate is bleeding through my resilient soul, dying it a pale and fragile blue: His fate is bleeding into his soul. He knows what’s going to happens but he doesn’t seem to care, it stains it the color of delicate sadness. Maybe I belong here, beneath the light of the moon: He speculates he might belong in the cold dark night, with only Sebastian to light his way ~POV changes to Sebastian~ Praise your pallet of lies, for it’s a masterpiece that you have created: Sebastian admires the web of lies the human he is owned by creates with such ease. He wants him to be proud of it. All of your promises, bleeding in flawless harmony: Ciel’s promises have always been fake. Sebastian knew this yet, he always saw how flawlessly everything played out just by a little boys hand. ~the song goes back to Ciel~ Sing another spell, paint another dream. We could bring to life a new reality: He wants to hear Sebastian put him under a trance, to numb his mind of his past, he wants Sebastian to paint a picture of happiness for him. He wants to be in a new reality. All of my mistakes gathering like storm clouds, will soon rain down on me: Ciel is thinking of his mistakes and how, even though he has Sebastian to clean up his mess, they will come for him eventually. ~POV of both~ Are we dancing in our chains? Blinded by the pride inside our veins: They’re dancing in the chains that bind them together. They’re each others puppets. However they’re blind to it, for Ciel is too prideful and Sebastian has been offered to forget. ~Ciel’s POV~ I once feared the end, praying for my life. Now I greet the darkness as a friend: Ciel was always scared of reaching the end of the tunnel. He wanted to live. But with everything that has happened, now he greets Sebastian like a friend and waits slowly for his timely end. There’s one thing I will protect, it’s the innocence they all neglect: Ciel will protect the mostly hated and neglected lizzy. At all costs, he loves her. (When I say neglected I mean by the fan base because I see a lot of hate on my girl :( ) I can hear a voice, like a melody. Rivaling the silence, for one I feel I am free: He hears Sebastian. He’d calling out to him after saving him from the cruel nightmare he bared. He feels free from the chains that wrapped him for the month he was in captivity. However, at the time he still doesn’t expect the chains that will wrap around him once the contract is further along. Maybe there’s a chance, a way out of this cruel and deadly dance. But at what cost?: He speculates that there might be an escape to all his misery. Other than Sebastian at least. But, what use would it be? Sebastian’s already there. He wouldn’t want everything to go to waste. Again the full moon, is lost to the night: Sebastian is gone. He left. He walked into the night to never be seen again.

I know this comment is old but Ceil might have broke out of the contract. Because in the Black Butler version of Alice and Wonderland there is a scene when Ceil briefly turns into an adult. When turned an adult the pentagram on his eye was gone. Since the pentagram is gone im assuming that he somehow got out of the contract.

Read the manga it’s still ongoing the manga is far and away much better than the anime. Just miles ahead. The characters actually exhibit development The characters are more fleshed out and enjoyable to read about, and you don’t have to wait forever for new episodes, as there are several arcs of the series already out. There is a lot more action with some of the side characters like Elizabeth and is a tad more gory than the anime.

Watch the Anime s1 s2: Sebastian is badass and nothing more. Ciel is edgy, Lizzie is annoying, only liked Soma and Agni. Read the Manga: Ciel my favourite character now....(maybe I should call him Astre?) A tragic hero so amazingly written, such complexity. My second favourite is Finny. Elizabeth is pitiful. Sebastian is...... interesting, as the devil he is, but never attracted to him.

I've loved this dub ever since I heard it after BOC came out, but listening to it now again after the latest reveal in the manga, and the line of "Praise your palette of lies, for it's a masterpiece that you have created" is chilling concerning the Two Ciels Theory. So beautifully done, you can just feel the weight of Ciel's choice and his sorrow. I love both versions, but I highly prefer this one.

I don't know why, but I really like the melody of this song. Mixed with your amazing voice and it just sounds perfect. The song sounds so flowy, and so sad, but with an almost pop and upbeat tune at the same time. I really don't know how to describe it but this is just extraordinary!

Edgy_Emo_Otaku I *love* Yana's artstyle and tbh, I don't have any ships in the Kuro fandom but I don't really love this one. The reason is, at first glance it looked to me like Ciel is dead and I for some reason hate any artwork -even if it's by Yana- where Ciel is portrayed as just food or looks dead. (Weird I know XD) So as much as I like her artstyle and color choices I can't bring myself to *really love* those kind of art works ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Honestly considering the dynamic they have, namely the pact's rules, as well as Sebastian (moreso in the manga where you can see his inner thoughts) seeming to despise Ciel and strongly look forward to the day he can eat him, as well as the fact his gentlemanly nature is very obviously only an act, this is one of the most illogical pairings I feel. I dont use the phrase a lot, but Ciel x Sebastian honestly feels like a crack ship, which makes it all the weirder that it's so popular.

Your lie in April (Shigatsu wa kimi no uso) was one of my favorite anime this season, and probably the saddest and most painful ending, but the music was beautiful, and I think any opening of ending performed by you would be great!
