Now that I've read the manga there's some chapters SPECIFICALLY made to make sure the reader understands Ciel's pact with Sebastian, and those are things Alois DIDN'T agree with Claude, mostly cuz I'm sure the chapters hadn't come out when Kuro2 was being made, obviously, Kuro2 is from 2014, these chapters are from 2017 or somthin~ But if Alois had chatted with Claude and proposed better clauses for his contract with him then he could have saved himself a lot of headaches hehehe.
