black butler's about a young earl in victorian england named ciel phantomhive who unintentionally summons a demon to help him seek revenge on those who kidnapped him and his family and murdered his parents. since he's the queen's watchdog, he has to go on some journeys that queen victoria requests of him and during those we get to see more into his backstory and find more clues about the culprits. please note that the only canon parts of the anime are season 1 episode 1-6, 13-15, all Book of Circus, Book of the Atlantic, & Book of Murder. there's lots of fillers and i'm not sure why! if you're truly interested you're better off reading the manga but both are good :) (sorry of the long essay i love when people ask this)
