This is completely different because she doesn't start form a background colour and then build up the layers. She just layers straight off. Different to what I'm use to doing but it looks really good and I'm going to do my black cat this way. The only way to learn is to try new things. I've actually used black acrylic ink for the whole cat as background anyway and I found this a pretty good way to go. My teacher suggested I do this and she has many years of experience in pastels and is extremely knowledgeable.

What is the type of pastel pencil you use for the white whiskers? I can never get a consistent smooth white thin line over the fur.

I saw another KZbinr who uses acrylic paint - grey, over the pencils with a fine brush.
