Wow such a beautiful drawing. I’m looking into pastels lately trying to learn something about them before I buy them. I do colored pencil artwork and lately just something about pastels peaked my interest. Your videos are amazing and so helpful, I’ve learned a lot from you 😊

Hi, thanks for watching! I’m so pleased the videos have been useful for you - i used to work with color pencils too but soft pastels allow me to work much quicker and larger. I also find the colours to be more rich and vibrant, good luck!

@@shaymusart I took a course in color pencils and I couldn't deal with them. The process is way too slow and monotonous. Unfortunately, I bought a set of 36 and 72 because they were on sale. They're collecting dust now. I noticed that some artists apply color pencils over pastels for the details. I may give it a shot since I have so many color pencils.

@shaymusart11 ай бұрын
Thank you, I appreciate it! I’m not too sure about charcoal as I don’t mix it with my pastels personally, but the Creta Color black chalk pencil is the deepest black pencil I use for my pastel artworks 😊

Do you use anything like a fixative on your finished work?
@shaymusart Жыл бұрын
No - I don’t use any fixatives. They always ruin the artworks, just store with glassine paper on top or frame asap with a picture mount between artwork and glass 😊

Hi, you're spectacular, I'm from Peru and I don't speak English so I used the translator. I would like to try to do the same. One question, what paper do you use to make the drawing? In my country I can't find the pastelmat, what alternative can I use? Thank you.

All have sinned. The wages of sin is death. Because we have sinned we deserve death as punishment. Yet God so loved the world He gave His One and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. Jesus Christ who is the Son of God yet God Himself never sinned so doesn’t deserve death at all yet He still chose to pay the price for our sins, He died in our place so that we don’t have to die. Yet He is risen and alive! God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Whoever believes in Him and repents shall not perish but have eternal life!
