The jaundice thing is hilarious. I had that when I was a baby and I was told they wrap you in a "light blanket" and help mature your liver - like - the yellow thing doesn't last your ENTIRE life. Also - you don't turn NEON yellow. hahaha!
@QuintetMagician7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, my best friend was the same way as a baby lol.
@PrettyH8Mach1n36 жыл бұрын
I think about 20% of neonates are jaundiced. It's pretty common. I was very jaundiced at birth and looked very yellow, but still, yeah, not neon. I also took on a lot of fluids and looked like the stay puft marshmallow man and my face was puffy, so the doctors joked they'd switched me with an an Asian baby or that my dad wasn't my dad -_-;
@soup95876 жыл бұрын
PrettyH8Mach1n3 agreed jaundice is very common with new born babies these days and it’s easy to treat. This used as an idea for a modern horror film is just weak.

If you watch GoodBadFlicks Cecil's _Exploring_ _Black_ _Christmas_ video, he explains that director/writer Glen Morgan originally written the remake to be more of a slow-burning psychological thriller, to Bob Clark's enthusiastic approval. But then halfway through filming, executive producer Harvey Weinstein (the same idiot who butchered _The_ _Crow_ _2_, softened down _Scream 3_'s violence and gave Rob Zombie the job for _Halloween_) showed up on-set and demanded more slasher elements to it, much to Morgan's dismay and frustration.
@PassTheMarmalade19578 жыл бұрын
Was it also Weinstein's idea to have an incest subplot, cannibalism, and a sex tape getting leaked for no reason? Because if it was, then I think we need to watch Weinstein.
@williamtimonen68148 жыл бұрын
He is a Daemon trying to destroy the movie industry.
@DemonBoy32237 жыл бұрын
I would not be surprised if it was Weinstein. In fact, this movie was reshot *_without_* Glen Morgan's foreknowledge, and when he was informed of the reshoots (via a phone call by one of the actresses), he got pissed off. That's right, the director knew *_nothing_* about his own film being reshot.
@g.b5697 жыл бұрын
Yeah, Mary Elizabeth Winstead actually told the director. Bob Clark wanted to write an actual sequel but sadly he and his son were killed before that could happen. At least with the remake, they were telling a different story and not rehashing the original. Also, the guy from GoodBad Flicks mentioned how the cinematography was really colourful and beautiful

Apparently, candy canes aren't allowed in prisons/asylums for this very reason (Jolly Ranchers aren't allowed either, despite being only an inch long). I guess I shouldn't be surprised that nobody did any research in a movie that treats jaundice like a life ruining deformity.

Oh gosh, I remember this movie. Our school wasn't allowed to show R rated movies, but one kid snuck a bootleg version of the disc into study hall my sophmore year. Study hall teacher didn't care enough to look up the movie to double check the rating and took the kid on their word. When it got to the "eyeball rip out" scene My face felt like ice cause the color drained from it so fast, and it made me nauseous. I didn't waste time to go out into the hall only to promptly fall over and faint. I was out long enough a passing teacher (not my Study hall teacher) woke and helped me to the closest bathroom. Then, once she also helped me back to the classroom, I spent the rest of class on my phone with earbuds in to ignore the rest of the movie. It wasn't the sight of it that got me, but the snap they put in for the optic nerve tearing.
