Tango was saying he might have him watch some week one runs to give him a slight bit of knowledge prior so he doesn't need to learn as much as the hermits did at first. Just to speed things up

A seed you might like is "renews", its similar to "oxford" but it has a bigger side room for the research stuff. Alternatively there is also a mod that allows you to design a map however u like in the web then import it to the game, very easy to use and straightforward.

Is Tango still renaming ravagers? I’m in the midst of watching Phase 2 runs and heard that someone else needs to die to a berry bush. Why not name a ravager, “berry bush that jumped out” to make this come true in a slightly sly way? The death message would state “Hermit was slain by a berry bush that jumped out,” I think. Joe also did something similar with a skeleton to prank Pearl for her continuous successful runs. Sorry for commenting here instead of D.O. related content OTL; just hoping others see and recommend the idea since the other videos have been up for a few days now 😅

One thing about level 3 that every hermit has been extremely careful with is dropping compasses. Obviously they don't want to alert the warden, but if the warden isn't near, missing the drop of a great location for clank generation during perma-sneak.

There is a more efficient way to automate the black coffee. ONE coffee machine, two corner grabbers, one counter (or a third corner grabber). Corner grabber on the back of the coffee machine will grab empty cups, deposit them on the counter, the second corner grabber will then cycle the empty cups back to the side of the coffee machine, then you can serve using smart grabber, or players. (ideally outputting coffee to a smart grabber into frozen prep) You can then do a conveyor chain to the ends of each double table looping back on itself. No need for teleporters, or servers :) Smart grabber pulls from frozen prep, and sets on counter at window, smart grabber pulls from counter, unused table in each table pair has a smart grabber passing the cups to the next table. Since the kitchen is larger than the dining room, swap them around and you can add more seating. At day 9 you should of set the coffee to feed direct to the window and no longer had skizz in the kitchen. one cleaning one serving or both doing both as needed.

I love how skizz is convinced to go discount before copy. Technically the best method is to get copy desk first, Throw out research to get new research blueprint, copy that blueprint, buy the copy, and use it ti research the original to a discount desk.

2:28 I think level 3 and 4 should be clank-free to encourage walking/running. It sends mixed messages if there's a mechanic that encourages the players to not perma-sneak and a separate mechanic that punishes them for not sneaking.

Buffer vs Mop: BUFFER make you go faster and prevents spills, but can NOT be used on messy floor tiles MOP cleans up messes but does not increase speed or prevent spills. BUFFERS make sense for restaurants with little to no mess, MOPS make sense in messy restaurants. In this case, a buffer is a good thing AFTER youre full decorated, but before that, mop is absolutely superior due to the amount of mess coffee makes.

If you have two people and they're waiting to take order you can put one drink on the table before they say what they want. This way you can grab the other coffee, take their order, then put the second coffee down.

Was a fun stream! * DO2 level 4 clank: Do shriekers register players throwing items on the floor? If so, you could use shriekers (w/o sapling randomizers) next to artefact spots. This would punish players using mutliple tries to find the correct spot. * PlateUp desk placement: Initally I have the copy and discount desk together, this provides 4 places for cabinets. Place/move the research at the edge depening on how much reasearch you need. (pretty much how you ended up doing it at the end).

2:17 - "I'm even deciding if it's worth putting in clank detectors on level 4" Possibly not: First off, the Wardens themselves are acting as a kind of (almost) all-or-nothing clank system on level 3. If you make noise, you maybe get detected and killed by a sonic shriek. As a result, as you say, everyone winds up perma-sneaking. You could add things that require the player to not perma-sneak, but I'm not sure if that really makes for good gameplay. (I don't have a lot of experience with wardens... It sort of seems that, if you aggro them, the best you can do is run away, but you're maybe going to get blasted before you can escape... They seem like an almost all-or-nothing threat that the player can't really control, so forcing the player to make noise and possibly aggro them just seems like a dice roll that could end their run. In other words, I'm not sure you can do better with the wardens, in a game-play perspective, better than having everyone perma-sneak.) Second, when you get down to level 3 (unless you have a really powerful anti-clank deck) stumble cards and the time spent sneaking around level 3 become a significant source of clank as the odds of drawing clank slowly rise. Finally, in terms of game play clank isn't really directly relevant to level 3 (or 4, presumably): there's no evokers or strays popping out in response to high clank because the wardens would kill them. Instead the clank accumulated on level 3 (and 4) is something players need to worry about on the way out, through levels 2 and 1. Since it's something that doesn't affect the gameplay of level 3 (and 4), it might not make sense to have it happening in response to things that happen on level 3 (and 4). I kind of feel like the wardens didn't really work out too well for Decked Out. They do make level 3 a different kind of experience than levels 1 and 2, a different kind of challenge, and I think that's good. Like people get down to level 3 and they need to take it slow, be careful, and burn through more card draws in the process. It's a good change of pace, even if it's maybe not what we hoped for in terms of gameplay.

If you really want to big brain the desk situation, get a copy desk, place it and toss the research desk in the trash, you are almost guaranteed to get another desk next round. Throw it in the cabinet, copy, and next round research/copy for the discount desk. If you land on blueprint desk, you can also purchase that and roll for the discount next round. then you have all 4 desks

I know this isn’t a DO stream but I had an idea I have to share. It sucks when hermits die and while it is part of the game there should be a run redemption card. On failed runs you get an aetherial soul flame card which activates a soul flame on lvl 4. If punched it gives you a shard. Hermits need to figure out what the card does and have a successful run with the aetherial card. Most importantly it is also a permanent card that adds clank and Hazard. This brings back the soul flames and adds another in dungeon quest. It also makes losses less painful

If you are going to level 4, you should (unless you’re hypno) have powerful cards that will have the downside of generating clank. Also, I think aggro-net actually helps the player that never makes noise, because it cycles the slime and bat sounds around and the wardens can’t focus because they are getting 5 mob noises and 1 player noise.

how about patches of redstone ore blocks covered by carpet that can only be jumped over if you sprint jump and somehow use activating redstone ore when stepping on it to trigger sculk sensors and cause clank. this way players can't perma shift assuming this works.

You want automation but you're not playing with the game to get it. You need a franchise to get the bonus cards. The bonus cards will help you get to automation faster. On my 3rd run I had a fully automatic pizza by day 6 and by day 15 I had it auto plated and auto cleaned. I'm enjoying watching your stuff and I'm trying to help, but not about to sit and watch coffee for two hours.

Tango mostly prioritises entertainment over automation. If you wanna watch professional plateup content, watch actual plateup professionals. Most watch Tango to be entertained for hours, not for professional plateup even if we expect it from him.

Yes, he prioritizes entertainment. Which I why I enjoy watching a lot of what he does. But there are times when you can evolve your gameplay to start achieving what he's been wanting from day one of this game. It's like running a door and wondering why it won't open for entertainment... People will get sick of it. But if you open the door, learn a new trick oh look at that... It's entertaining again, same thing new twist. I actually want to see his technical mind go nuts on this game. But that won't happen because the door is still closed... See what I mean?

Fair point. Tango has somewhat deep solo overtime runs and I believe he knows keys to automation. However, he usually just gives his input and makes sure his friends are enjoying themselves as much as possible.
