at 43:00 pearl says “we don’t want christmas to come early this year” and i had to think about it for a solid 5 minutes before i realised she’s australian. i was so confused as to why burning something ie making it hot would correlate with christmas when christmas is notoriously cold. then i realised ohhhhhh in australia christmas is during the warm seasons.

Tango, potential helpful tip. The levitation line is… as you said, not a grabber. Lame. But with the double cauldron, you often were looking for a place to put a pie while waiting for the ones in the cauldron to be served. You can set the levi line in your walking path pointing into a cauldron and when the cooked pie is pulled it’ll feed the next pie, which means you don’t have to. Rhythm saver. Otherwise, yes. Not having access to grabbers when enchanting is brutal.

Tango, watching late. When debating about the second cauldron, it helps me with rhythm. When I bring the meat pie to a cauldron, as it cooks I get the next one ready, exactly like you did. Then I put that one in the second cauldron. This means I don’t have to walk as much since I’m next to the cooked pie in the first cauldron. As the second is cooking, I grab the first, place it, then go to the next prepping pie. Not sure how to better explain it. If each step is numbered, it’s like going 1, 2, 3, 1/4, 2, 3… rather than 1, 2, 3, 1, 4, 2, 3. Yeah… that looks like it’s much easier to understand… 😅 hm… basically, you’re creating a tighter loop. Super fun watching the plateup! You and Pearl make a great team!

The equipment you start with is not the same as the basic equipment, it is worse. The game starts you out with "starter" equipment. Starter equipment can not be purchased and you can't obtain blueprints for them. The starter equipment differences are: sink is 2/3rds of second slower per dish and creates more wet spots hob is 75% the speed creates more messes plates are half the capacity bin is 2/5ths the capacity there is no starter oven, the game just values an oven as little as a nerfed hob...

Nope! Pearl’s played quite a bit with some (Australian) friends on stream. She’s well versed in plate up! Gem and Etho hadn’t played Plated Up, but played Hungry Hermits, and Scar only recently (past month) picked it up.

Tango, I tried telling you during the stream that you need to buy a calm painting in every game. I play Plate up! A lot. The calm painting increases the customers' patience. While watching you, Skizz, and Jimmy play, your customers' patience always runs out really fast. This is why. You should buy a Calm Painting and Plants before getting the other things during the cosmetic rounds. You need a calm painting in every room you serve customers in and you need enough plants so every table is covered. There is a icon on the tables during the preparation phase before you start your day, that tells you if the table is covered. The icon for calm painting is zzz and the plant icon is a plant. Another thing If you cook a pie crust with no meat or other topping, you can just add the topping to it and cook it again. DO NOT THROW IT AWAY. If I could send you a picture I could show you my fully automated pie restaurant. It makes all 3 pies. My starter meal is bread and my side is mashed potatoes. Ice cream is the dessert. Right now I'm on overtime Day 12. The restaurant map is Oxford. I always play Oxford. I like having lots of room. I serve all the customers from the kitchen. You also need lots of coffee tables. The restaurant I'm telling you about has 10 coffee tables. They also need to be in range of the calm painting and plants. When getting a mixer, a rapid mixer is what I pick. It can keep up making pie crusts for the whole automated process. All 3 pies. Lately I've been picking Affordable, because the customers eat faster and get out of the restaurant. This allows other customers to be seated and waited on quicker its really good in late game, but customers have no extra patience while you're delivering their meals. You need to reroll more often to get better stuff. The game only gives you basic stuff most of the time. Having many blue print desks helps a lot. You need a copy desk as soon as possible. Then copy copy copy. I noticed at the beginning of your game when you were creating your store, Pearl has a lot of appliances in her bins or warehouse you could have taken 2 of them to start your restaurant with. A mixer and grabber were probably in there. I hope you take time to read this. I'd really like to see you guys play Plate up! more often. It's really fun if you understand it better.

I have been having problems starting PlateUp games with my sister as well. Something is not syncing right in this game, these days. She can play just fine with another friend, but with me it's just bugged for some reason. I can invite her in my games just fine, but the links of the invites she sends me just won't work. Which is still a problem, because she's the one with the better internet, game runs way smoother when she's the host.
