I don't understand why some people in the black community would be AGAINST the school police liaison program when its suppose to be connecting with young people as well as providing some security in schools. In Toronto they got rid of a similar program a few years back despite the fact that the majority of students and staff who were surveyed voted IN FAVOR of keeping the program, but the Toronto school board dropped the program anyways because some black students wanted it gone. As a result crime and violence in a number of schools has gone wayyy up and even teachers and staff don't feel safe in schools these days.

There’s barely any black people in Vancouver compared to Eastern Canada. There was like two in my entire high school. Lots of asians though.

Well I wouldn't accuse them of racism they are dismissive and disrespectful to most people I think of course they are the highest paid cops in Canada and the courts are full of enablers that don't hold them to standards worthy of their wages.

Myself, I am a transracial individual. My biological parents are Chinese, but I self-identify as black. And, yes, as a member if the black community, we really should distance ourselves from the Vancouver police.
