Black Crows Octo Ski Review

The Black Crows Octo is the latest nimble carver in their range of fun carvers. Inspired by the Mirus Cor the Octo has a similarly tight radius, but a flatter profile gear more towards higher speed carving and day to day firm snow performance.
Most at home on or alongside the groomers, the Octo features a traditional camber with an 84mm waist to assist with Australian softer afternoons. Its ambition is toIts ambition is to rejuvenate an academic style of skiing, at the same time easy to access and different, ready to rock the resort with speed and carving.
We skied this ski in La Clusaz in Jan 2024 and found it to be a really nice balance of quick and nimble and comfortable at speed. If the Mirus Cor is a little confronting with its twin tip and close to centre mount point the Octo will be right up your alley.

Difference between Octo and Vertis?

Vertis is a bit softer and forgiving, Octo is a little more precise and demanding.
