Black + Decker 36v Cordless Strimmer Review and Test After 12 months - See It In Action

In this video, I give my review on the Black + Decker 36v Cordless Strimmer which I have been using for over 12 months now. Overall it's a brilliant tool with some good features as I explain the video. Running time was impressive with up to 40 minutes and even in the Turbo mode, it ran for 25 minutes before needing recharging. I also love how it switches to a lawn edger with the click of a button.

@@pyracantha6028 Just got it deliverd. Mine only has a high low switch not a tutning knob. And im 189cm tall. With the mower fully extended it is still a littie bit on the short side. But probbaliy workable for me

I bought it and wait for delivery. My choise against Makita and Ryobi. This Black and Decker seems more comfortably by same power.

Yes I think its a great model, Black + Decker have done well with this model but both Makita and Ryobi do some good models too, especially cordless

I could see sparks thru the slots in the top of the head of the trimmer when it would run, then it stopped working. Any ideas on how to fix? Is it DOA?

Hi which replacement spool and head does this trimmer use is it the AF-100 or the A6481-XJ

I've had this strimmer for about 9 months now and although it works OK, what I've found is it never releases new line as it should. I have to take the cap off and unwind new line which is a total pita! There's loads of people with the same problem, but it never gets resolved. I've just ordered a new Ego trimmer which I think will be far better than this. Does yours release line automatically as it should?

Hi yes mine does release line as it should although some models do it better for sure, double check the the small plastic part that is under the strimmer line spindle is in place and moves freely and moves back and forth. Also double check the line is going the same way as the arrow on the strimmer cap. I find it takes a few bumps before it releases the right amount of line on mine.

How easy is it to change the wire?

Hi, you push clip the spool off and then you can add new wire to the spool.

@@pyracantha6028 Hi There what is the thickness of the wire? 2.4 - 2.7 mm ? Because on the Black and Decker 1820 is very thin about 1.68mm and it keeps snapping. Also is it auto loading or we have to do it manually?Please let me know.Thank you
