I need to point out an error. When you are changing blades remove the battery. Also, you should press on the blade lock button while tightening or loosening the lock screw.

SOLD! I have been trying to decide on a smaller circular saw to add to my collection and I have a B&D 20V cordless drill. I've decided to go with this one based on this Excellent demo video. Subscribing to you channel.

This saw lacks power unless you have. 4.0 battery. then its pretty damn good. saps a lot of power and power drop with a 1.5 and noticable after s while with a few min of use with a 2.0. a 4.0 will be noticable with power drop after 15-20 min of use but not by much. Actually have a lot of B+D tools including this saw. And have the batteries i mentioned. try to get 4.0s much more worth it for bigger jobs.

This little saw certainly cuts well for its weight and cost. It is handy to not have to drag around an extension cord. One negative is the end play in the motor shaft. This allows the blade to move sideways about the thickness of the blade. Not so good for precision cuts, but then a person would probably use their miter saw if they we're building furniture. I checked a display model in the store and it moved just as much.

I just picked up one at the value village in my community. It was brand new. It just lacks a battery. Lucky for me I had two batteries that fit already. It looks like it's good for light jobs but nothing more. I have a heavy duty circular saw for bigger jobs. Great video thank you sir!
@BassocantorReviews5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your excellent note. I agree with you. Light jobs, not heavy duty jobs. Probably not a good choice for a professional Carpenter.

I bought the 100 teeth blade from Home Depot, but had trouble to cut wood. The blade stuck in the middle of the 2x4 lumber I cut
@fishyfool4 жыл бұрын
sounds like you had it on a raised surface between two points and you cut down the middle. when the wood pinches the blade of the saw it's stopping it. move your support points closer or add more points

Does anyone know how to get a rip fence for this saw? It doesn't come with the tool, i can't find it anywhere directly, but yet there are clearly provisions for it🤔

Just make a straight edge guide it works better than the rip fence

Does this provide the depth to cut 4 x 2 timber?

Yes 2 x 4 (nominal) lumber. But, 2 x 4 (rough sawn) only with double pass.

I've had a problem with mine. Upon depressing the trigger the motor clicks momentarily which rotates the blade about 1/4 turn. So, the motor will not run continuously. And yes, this is with a freshly charged 20V battery. Anyone have any ideas?
@crypticjim2 жыл бұрын
No ideas, but I just started having the same problem. With mine it seems to run fine without a blade but as soon as you put the blade in it's runs like the battery is about dead.

Is the blade on backwards?
@nzbrotrev90283 жыл бұрын
Put the battery in .
@w.patterson44132 жыл бұрын
WE all assume you have the battery in. And that the blade isn't backwards. I have the same problem, and the saw had been operating just fine for several years. All of a sudden, an intermittent problem. I found some repair parts but that'd entail futzing with taking it apart and hoping I had the right part. Instead, I'll order a new saw from Lowes for about $40 and call it quits. Meantime, I'll use a saw with a cord for the few cuts I have left - and used a hand saw for abut eight cuts.
@eggsy7393 жыл бұрын
I found this video really helpful, but your voice is SO much quieter than the sound of the saw and the shop-vac. Could you maybe adjust your audio editing so that I'm not deafened by the tool in use, whilst straining to hear your voice? ➖🔉➖ 👍
@scoopjohnson20216 жыл бұрын
That saw gnaws through at best. I can count the 4 times I used it before you can hear the shaft rattling like a tin lizzy on a muddy road. The blade that came with it is no where near flat. I did not see the need to measure the run out but if you can look down the edge and see it, well why need to know how bad?

Yes, the blade that comes with the saw is definitely for rough cuts. It’s pretty awful actually. The 100T blade is worlds better.
