Well, you start at professional 1 as a Shai player. I been trying to do some medicine boxes. At professional boxes one of the easier potions to make is the weenie's elixir or at least in theory it is. You have worker nodes for most of the resources you need. Not for the flowers but there are spots in my home base of Grana where you can farm a lot of them. Then you only need one per craft. The real hold up becomes Monk's branch. There are three nodes total in the game in which you can have workers gather monk's branch for you. All three of which are not in my home area. I set up the linked nodes and hired a worker in each of the areas all set up to farm me the resources. I can make a physical collection run in not that much time and remotely feed my workers. Sounds like a pretty sweet deal right? Wait for the workers to do all the work save for the flowers and make boxes until I can make Artisan boxes. Well, the workers take 40 minutes to an hour and only collect 1-4 per node. It's taken me pretty much a week to gather 229. You need 6 of them per craft. Now another issue with the branch is that it's a rare drop either by lumbering or collecting sap. Part of the recipe is mossy sap and so to try so in an effort to collect some and build a store of sap I collected a whole forest of sap and only got one branch drop. None of the other resources are an issue but the branch is a serious bottleneck. You need a significant supply to be profitable. Now yes I could outsource the branch via buying it on the market. However, this is 1920 per piece right now. Six of them per craft is 11,520. It might not sound like a heap but over an extended period of production the costs can eat away at your profits. There is one saving grace to buying some though. I essentially have two byproducts being created through production. Lumber and Nocs ore. Now because I don't have a value pack I pay more in fees on my sales. So I can offload the byproducts I am not using to help offset the opex but between the market fees and slow liquidation rate it really is pretty arguable on the overall worth. So monk's branch is driving me a little insane.

You should consider that imperial delivery of cooking and alchemy is the same number of times and takes the same one so if you sell cooking boxes it lowers the number of alchemy ones you can deliver and the oposite so thats why you idealy want to do only alchemy or cooking imperial

First off thanks for your guide! I had a question, I'm a fairly new player and I noticed that the console version does not have the apprentice, skilled, professional's, artisan's, master's or guru's medicine box. Is this a PC only box or a box that simply has yet to be implemented? As of now we are only able to make alchemist's boxes but not medicine boxes, which has unfortunately changed a lot.

PC only box, but the demihuman elixir is used in the demihuman hunt box on console. So the same recipe applies, but the cost of the materials is different.

I have some inquiries regarding your spreadsheet data: > you didn't include the prices of deer blood and river water. It seems that we can earn more money if we just sold the ingredients separately in the central market instead of turning them into medicine boxes. In your spreadsheet you used 16,248 fir saps in making 647 medicine boxes that sold for 129.4 million, but if those fir saps were instead sold by themselves in the central market, they will sell for 145.4 million (8950 silver per sap). Of course, the only reason why the ingredients sell so high is because people do alchemy. I would like to do alchemy as well, so please do enlighten me as to what am I missing.

U're forgetting the 2,5 times return, it would take 16248 saps if u got 1:1, but u get 1:2,5 so the profit is much bigger than those 129.4 mill.

is there any point in doing both alchemy and cooking ? Reason I ask is that you cant make stuff from both at the same time Is there any life skill that can be done afk for a few hours with the right equipment (if available) before durability is zero ?

Most people pick one or the other, and cooking tends to make more money in honesty, but both use the same systems so learning one will make the other just as easy. I have a shorter guide on cooking if you're into that.

The fir sap on xbox is expensive. On the chart assuming its pc prices it says 1100 per unit. On xbox it is 8,200 so... 16,248 x 8,200 = 133mill Idk I'm trying to decide do I say f it to the profit and just go for the alchemy levels or do I look for something else to craft that's cheaper.

@@EvilDoUsHarm I've looked into the alchemy on xbox market and it doesnt seem that profitable. Every imperial box you can make. The potions needed for it cost way more then what you get from the trader. So I also looked into just trying to make the potions to sell them on the cm. But even that some of the ingredients you need to make the potions cost more then the potion it self. Therefore on xbox the market is messed and I'm going to probably just stick with gathering for now and sell the ingredients on the cm. Unless I'm missing something but yea... Great guide. Also debating on just switching to pc. It has way more stuff. And every video I watch makes me want to switch more and more lol. Great guide btw i see how it makes profit but atm on consoles the market is f'ed Keep up the great work.

Cooking and alchemy going to take hard nerf for NA/EU next week(already in Sea Mena and Kr ) so I dont recommend invest to much maybe try hunting or horse life skill be can better option .

All imperials are limited to the cap. So you could NOT trade 150 of each, just 150 total. You can also see this when you go to turn in one - they're all on the same page, so you can just turn in 150 of whatever.

Hang on, it costs 40k in meat to make a meat pie and you need to make 18 meat pies to make a professional cooking box which costs 720k in raw materials but the box only sells for 300k so you lose loads of silver? What's the deal there you just lose money through cooking? Assuming someone might reply "don't buy the raw materials, farm them yourself." Even so, you'd still make more money by just selling the ingredients, what am I missing here?

Yes, but the pricing is different! These craft into demihuman hunt alchemy boxes, not medicine boxes. And they sell for more, but the saps cost a lot more on console! You might have to adjust the pricing.

WTF, is this a spreadsheet!? This is a game, how is this so complicated, that you need to take a fkn course in Alchemy! I'm totally about to give up on this game. Was enjoying this a lot , but all the little things that get in the way, makes it terrible...Like when I fell off of a cliff into the water and had to LITERALLY swim for over an hour to get to some kind of shore. Couldn't kill my self, just had to swim to a shore where I could get out of the water and go on land, which took over an hour... good thing I had something to put on the W key to keep swimming!
