I just finished building my sailboat today and it took just about 15k logs to get the 800 timber squares with Artisan 5 processing. Took me about 2 weeks of doing nothing but gathering logs with kamasylve's blessing to get all the logs, then another week just to build the actual sailboat. I have to connect all the cities and use almost all my workers, 62 of them, to help build. I'm glad I finally have this sailboat but I'm never doing this again lol.

@@codyrussel828 maybe watch some bdo streamers on twitch look around find different things but since your looking for a boat specifically try finding someone who barters and just let them know exactly what your saying now your new to the game and how long it would take to build things starting new and stuff easy to join a guild but beware of toxicity, you do have to go through the main story (avoid valencia 2 if u want) and get contribution points for workers so I'm guessing maybe a month to get started but enhancing is terrible most people buy unless your lucky. Games about long term progression most new players leave as soon as they came because its most of the time solo progression hardly party play so may not be your ideal game on the other hand joining a guild can grant new people to know.

@@codyrussel828 you can also buy a bout probably alot easier and faster because theres a few things you can do to make like 500 mil to get this bout you can probably get it in like 2 months or a couple of weeks depending on what you do

you can do all that or you'll get all the materials for around 20 to 25 mill silver of the market place. and than it's just waiting and do that daily quest. Atleast that is how i've done it and it saved me a lot of time i think. In the time you would be gathering i was grinding and doing guild missions.

That's a smart way to go about it. Only the logs can be more or less painful to snipe of the market. :)

Hello, thank you, very nice guide. I got a lot of workers working in the steel and flax I bought from the market, and also started to gather things for bear with 5 workers and crafting it in Velia with a low lvl ranger, so I can feed them all. Wood is the issue. Farming and process it would take me 102 full days of gaming! I'm doing something wrong but idk what. I bought a lot of pine planks and pine timber to reduce my time, and I will turn the planks into plywood with workers in Epheria so I can save my time. Also bought some plywood. I'm going to keep doing this. My processing and gathering skill is quite low. I know the times and rate of materials gathering from each tree will be more reasonable while I'm lvl up this skill and I'm able to equip better axes. I didn't set the workers in the node for getting pine with them, but I will do that tomorrow and this will make things a lot faster I hope. Any suggestions?

questchain is fucked up for me im at the point were i need to dive to the scond wreck the golden something boat and i see the 2 markers on the ground but i cant interact with anything! any advice?

I got stuck at the same point. Finally i found the seaweed or whatever you have to interact with. The only advice i can give is to check the quest on bddatabase (bddatabase.net/us/quest/1501/10/). People post screenshots in the comments that might be helpful. Good luck!

I think you can get much more valuable rewards via the shakatu's seals than the boat, so I would not recommend that. However, if you don't want to craft it yourself, you can try to buy it of the marketplace either by winning the bid or putting a preorder. The work that goes in to making the boat makes it worth much more than the 200mill its sold for. Good luck!

I use the Marie Cave node. It is North East of the Witch's Chapel Node and South West of the Hexe Stone Wall Node. This node allows workers to get Pine Lumber AND Pine Sap. You will need Pine Sap if you wish to also make Fishing Boats, to start getting out to the water.

It's recommended to be at least Artisan level processing so that when you chop the logs they proc more.

It has lifespan but it can be repaired at the wharf. The wharf managers also sells an item that allows you to regenerate lifespan during trips.

When you say "power of the sailboat", do you mean the Lifespan? You can replenish the lifespan of a boat with breezy crystals?

The "lifespan" of the sailboat is called power for the sailboat specifically (you can see it at 7:04 in the video), but is basically the same thing. I assume they differentiate between them since one can be repaired infinitely and the other is limited.

Indeed, otherwise it would not been worth the time investment. :P Also regarding the repairing. Any wharf manager NPC can repair the power of your sailboat for a small amount of silver (similar to recovering horses in the stable) so the breezy crystals are mostly used if you need a boost in power during long journeys, e.g. sailing to/from Port Ratt across the Margoria Sea. The beauty of BDO is that almost anything you do can generate income if you do it properly. I don't think there is one best way of making silver, however i recommend you to select something you like to do actively and something you like to do while afk. For example you can grind and kill mobs when you play actively, do cooking while you make dinner etc. (shorter afk) and fish while sleeping/working IRL.

It'll take time, but at higher processing levels you'll be getting more processed materials per crafting time. At Processing Prof9, i'm more often than not getting 2 - 3 Timber Squares per 10 Scantlings. It drastically reduces the grind. Just keep in mind that each extra Timber Square you get is 100 less logs to cut. :P
