Can the Epheria Sailboat be used as a hotspot fishing boat? or should I just stick with a cog/fishing boats? I plan to do bartering in the future to try out each life skill, but not sure if its a good multipurpose ship.

When the speed is upgraded and you can use Breezy Sail, it should be just as fast or faster than the cog. I prefer the cog until I can get the speed up or a better ship.

Checked out the Poly vid. Not useful at all, cos he was silent and was not riding a bartali sailboat. Took me a while to realise that you can't ram that Hekaru in the starter boat. So basically what everyone is forgetting to tell us is you will have a super super hard time doing that first quest line without someone manning that cannon. In fact I have yet to see a video that shows me how I am supposed to kill that thing on a bartali sailboat as green as I am and progress. Appart from that thanks for the crafting guide, took down notes for all the stuff I will need when I one day get back to it.

@@TeddyTwighlite Bartali Sailboat has to do it manually hence all the trouble. I was under the false impression that I must do that monster quest line to get a better ship but it wasn't the case. I'm gathering mats now and will get back to it when I get Epheria Sailboat cos that one can fire cannons while I ride it. Thanks for the guide mate

Ypu can always upgrade the Bartali to the frigate too so it's not a complete loss
