They need to make Gear worth. I stopped playing after getting a pen debo necklace and realised IT Changes nothing. I Had everything Else füll pen, with 2 x disto earring and the +5 ap and all the struggle we're wasted time. I kill ppl in PvP Just AS fast and i die just AS fast even If i Upgrade my fallen gods to tet. The Game is Just so over geared that endgame Just feelt Like a waste of time for me

I agree, I got my debos and ended up quitting. We just have no real content. Nothing real for pve, and pvp has become more and more of a joke and ver the past few years. There’s just very little reason to play or continue working on gear. I primarily played this game from release because of its high pvp focus at the time. It this has been slowly stripped away and has had so many changes made that make working for and grinding for gear almost pointless. Honestly are this point the game feels like a hallow husk.

I think PA got greedy. Simple as that. I think they focus more on profit drive, than balancing both profit and player happiness. Just because it's a company, doesn't mean they have to focus on profit either. They just choose to, and in doing so it becomes their only vision. How do we make more money, not how do we make the game better.

The new player experience is the best its ever been. Its definitely time to work on the mid to end game player experience. most notably being in reference to upgrading gear and being actually rewarded for grinding. Gear enhancement has been in a dismal state since the release of the game but people are finally getting sick and tired of it with the constant new tiers of gear for them to have to interact with the TERRIBLE system more and more and more, people are tired of downgrading. at the VERY least they could add cron stones to grind zones at like caphras level rarity. even if they werent able to be sold on the marketplace. This would at least somewhat help reduce the absolute stupidity that is the current enhance system. and when it comes to being rewarded for grinding, you go from 900mil-1bil an hour at gyfin underground where your next upgrade is like 5-15 ish bil depending on what youre looking at. Not too bad. But then you get to places like dehkia crescent shrine, Yzrahid, darkseekers, tungrad ruins, etc, all these 700+ gearscore grinding zones and youre making... 1.1-1.3 bil an hour?... where your next upgrade is 150-200bil????... this is ridiculous. Though this would be slightly helped by fixing the gear upgrade problem because things becoming less volatile to enhance would drive prices down making things at least somewhat more reasonably affordable.

Its intentional in order to prevent end game players from increasing the gap between them and new players. You basically hit a soft cap where the devs still allow you to play but dont really want you to keep progressing.

Also mobs grind themself according to your stats. And if you somehow engage in PvP you are instantly banned.

After watching the Crown Prince fights all morning and hearing it hasn’t even been cleared on KR yet. I feel like that’s a good start for end game PvE content that’s enjoyable & engaging. Even easy mode wasn’t a breeze and the rewards are very good though they may crash the market.

I really don't get it. Why do they keep trying to please new players when the veterans, the ones that played you game for YEARS are quitting. They did this last summer when they panic hand hold new players with rewards and all and that didn't work, they played for 1 week, notice that besides going in circles you have nothing and stopped playing... Good question.. I think it should work with your existing character. They have given out a free Season Character Creation ticket as well, but I think your current Season should work since it is just an event and not a system change.

I think they can also make a season ++++++, it won't bring me back. They're just proving that their content sucks and they think just making everything faster and easier will bring players back to do their absurd and linear sovereign weapon progression instead of fixing the reasons why they quit in the first place. In my case it's because I don't have a fun progress loop in BDO. Every halfway interesting content (Boss Blitz, NW, Siege, WoR, AoS etc) is time gated. And since I'm not a lifeskiller, all I can do to progress is grind, which feels increasingly boring. In the past, grinding through ow pvp was still halfway entertaining, today it's just a dull grind simulator.

As someone who has played bdo on and off, the new player experience is awful specifically because of events like this... you join into the game and boom are bombarded with insane amounts of xp, no real sense of progression because everywhere you go you end up outscaling 100 to 1... like the new player experience is awful because you bypass all the content and are thrown into an end game you do not understand or have context for. Let new players experience the game, at a normal pacing, learn the story and explore the world.... Stop trying to funnel them into the extremely lacking end game.

Season++ might be a bad idea. Force Gaming just did an opinion piece on how speed up mechanics don't make MMOs more fun since you spend less time exploring the world and experiencing the leveling process. I kind of agree, these recent QoL have been great, but I think I enjoyed BDO more when leveling to 62 took a month or so. Spending time around the different locations in the world made it fun. Anyway, the way BDO is, I really want someone to come out with an ARPG with the same combat system. That would be a dream.

I was hoping with the Magnus essentially giving us the option to explore different "realms" we would be introduced to different aesthetic NPC and stories. In that case, modern outfits would fit well and could be tied into the game. I don't mind it personally, but that extra step makes all the difference.
