This episode was fascinating to me. The blend of how racism to white or biracial people can be mistaken by the embracing of black culture. Don’t know if this was Donald’s intention for the episode, but this scene in particular shines light on how black people themselves can push a certain narrative that if a black person doesn’t abide by these certain black culture stigmas, you can’t be considered what you are, black. If a white person was to judge the way these judges judged their contestants on one’s blackness, they will immediately be crucified for racism. Although it was funny af at the end of the episode, it goes to show that although certain black people are offended by black stereotypes in America, black people have to implement it on themselves or else they aren’t considered their color of their skin or their roots, which by definition, is considered racist.
