Dang dude, it's crazy to think that many mosquitoes are flying around your home... I bought one of these a few years back, I cut out a few of the plastic slots out so it could zap bigger bugs. Put your cord inlet holes facing down, to keep water out.

Thanks for watching. Bug zappers really only kill bugs at night. Which may lesson them in the day when your grilling. The zapper attracts the bugs with its built in light. During the day the bugs are not attracted to the light but at night they are.

I bought the flowTron 1 acre model and it's awesome! The advantage of that one is the wires inside are vertical and most of the bugs fall out And don't get stuck. About every 10 days I'll take the air compressor and blow it out but it never gets clogged like yours. I can finally go in my backyard without getting chewed up by all the mosquitoes
@GReviewz6 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching. I can see were that would be an advantage to yours. At this point I have two units, one in the back yard and one in the front of the house. I bought the bigger one Intertek Black Flag Type 2 Model BZ-40 and it turned out to be just a lawn light. The electrical zapping was never activated when flying insects entered the Black Flag Type 2 Model BZ-40. So don't forget it has a 5 year warranty on the big models.
@speterson7715 жыл бұрын
Bought the bigger version of this. Worked for a short while and then shorted out. The manufacturer will not stand behind it UNLESS, you box it up and send it to them along with receipt. If they feel the product was defective, they will send you a new one. It cost more in the hassles and shipping costs than to just go out and buy a different brand. Nope, will not buy a Black Flag zapper again.

Correct me if mistaken but they looked much more like moths than mosquitoes. If ever feel like it, how about a quick vid showing all the dead insects on a table or something so mosquitoes are easier to see. I just bought this today, night now and I was getting mosquitoes on me as usual and the light didn't seem to attract them over. Its like 19ft away. All the insects are around me not the device. If you do make it. Thanks for your time
@GReviewz4 жыл бұрын
There were a handful of moths in there yes... however when I zoom in and say look at all of this you can see thousands of little heads (little round balls) those are all mosquitos. My bug zapper came with a little yellow thing you clip on the side that is an attractant. I only run my bug zapper when I am not out there. Blood is still way more attractive to a mosquito than a lamp. I leave the lamps on over night.

Holy cow, you live in Everglades? lol..I'll buy one..

Thank you for watching. No I live in central nc. A lot of farm land around me. When they till up the soil in spring/early summer the bugs come out.

I love bug zappers but I gave up on them. Every name brand I have bought lasted about one year.
@GReviewz5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. Yeah I’ve had mine two years now and going strong. I don’t leave them out year around only during bug season... for example in NC during the winter there are no bugs so I put the zappers away.

Looks like you need many more units
@GReviewz5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching.. lol I have a total of 2 units and they work well. I might look crazy if I had like 8 units all around my house.
@WilburneMusic4 жыл бұрын
would it attract and kill roaches too?
@GReviewz4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. Sorry roaches are too smart for the up light bug zapper. These are only good for flying insects that are attracted to light.
@WilburneMusic4 жыл бұрын
@@GReviewz darn, lol. Another question. Do you have to leave it plugged in the whole time, or does it have a charging option? If not, does it suck a lot of electricity?
@GReviewz4 жыл бұрын
I have two of these units. One in the front and one in the back of my house..they have to be plugged in however I have them both on timers. They do not use that much juice...
@WilburneMusic4 жыл бұрын
@@GReviewz oh, ok. that means I would need to use an extension cord to use this cause I don't have electrical outlets outside my house. or the alternative is to use it in one of the rooms in my house to kill mosquitos. Would that be ok, or must it be for outdoor use only?

I got the next size over and did nothing , the bulb is 40 watts dim as hell , just don't know.

Thanks for watching. What kind of bugs are you trying to kill? From my knowledge it’s suv light and not a normal light not supposed to be really bright.

@@GReviewz I live in Canada and this summer around my house there are lots of bugs. Would you recommend me getting this zapper?
@GReviewz3 жыл бұрын
This is going on my third year of ownership and the 2 units that I have still work great. However some people report that the bugs in their area don’t seem to be attracted to it.. so I guess give it a try. It worked for me.

how well does it do with flies
@GReviewz4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. Are you referring to standard house flies?

I would use compressed air in a can to clean

Does it work for flys
@GReviewz3 жыл бұрын
I have seen a few flies get zapped in my unit...but only a few. these zappers really work the best at night and normally house flys come out in the day light.
