I purchased a fat quarter bundle and some other fabric. My goal for this year was to work on my UFOs. I completed several things on that list. This new year I want to challenge myself to use up some of my scraps. I am busting at the seams with scraps. Great video!

I didn’t get in on this sale I had already placed an order with the buy 2 jolly bars get the free book. What do you do with all your see sampler quilts? I had to quit my membership I had to many piling up.
@pickinstitchesАй бұрын
@jeanniestaley2685 so there are tons of charities that take quills. I'm a guild member at Village Quilters of Loudon County. But Operation Linus is nation wide I think. Ages ago Hubby asked me how many quilts did I need to make...this is my R&R. I make them for me, so deciding to share them is easy. And as soon as you decide to donate all your SsQuilts you will never be disappointed in a box again. If you love it keep it, If not sew it and learn something new and give it away!

If you do lap size quilts check with the local hospice companies. I work for one and we can use all we can get. Especially themes like wilderness, wildlife, sports, etc. we get more of the flowers, pastels. They are prayer or memory quilts. We try to match them up to the patients taste and then the family can keep them. Also check with the fire and police departments. They can give them to traumatized individuals. Especially kids. Even the VA may accept them.

@@pickinstitches I send mine out to be quilted so it gets so expensive to think of giving away. I just got a new embroidery machine I can do my own on so maybe if I get some done that way I can. I live in a rural area I don’t have any guilds to belong to. Thanks for the idea. I do love the jolly box this year.
