I imagine humans will eventually develop stronger bones, and connective tissue to handle 100% of our strength. The reason I think this will happen is with us exercising, and the ease of access to large amounts of calories we are already seeing mutations accordingly as people there are people who have an additional vein or artery in their arms which would normally be gone by adulthood who still have it as adults which is believed to provide more blood flow. I myself have a stupid amount of muscular stamina which allows to train way more than others, and even sustain a sprint for up to just under 600 meters with minimal training I feel like I am about to die by the end of it and can hardly stand but I can do it. This is well beyond what someone of my level should be capable of, but it has proven handy for running from fights because I did not go to the best middle school. Its possible that I have a higher energy storage in my muscles, or it could be something to do with my cardiovascular or respriratory systems. I also experience sizably less pain and a faster healing rate than most others, but that is more likely genetics as my mother carries the same traits.

Well I agree with almost everything, except for the meat tower. If it is just a parasite that lives symbioticly with an organisms on its home planet then why would it infect hosts on this planet then immediately start building a meat balloon. It aggressively takes over the hosts mutating them to the point of completely overriding the cellular functions and then reshapes it to its own specifications. Then gathers the infected to one mass. I think what we're seeing would best be described as a macro virus. It ends making these hideous conglomeration because we aren't its preferred host. So it's a weird mix of predation and sexual reproduction that isn't really seen on earth as far as I know.

Perhaps this is how they spread. That once they get big enough, they self destruct? Causing pods to be blasted out of the atmosphere and spread elsewhere. One reason I say this is because a lot of those fleshy pods seemed to land as themselves and not on a space rock. And the exploding pods make me think of many plants that use 'exploding' as a way to spread their seeds. Especially the Sandbox Tree. Their seeds fly out at least 160mph!

An interesting theory someone brought up to me was the possibility that the human race is already an ancient civilization due to the age of the universe, we may not be alone in the universe but we may be some of the oldest to come, especially since the universe is still so relatively young it's a terrifying concept, life being so barren right now within the universe that we will never see new life but also super interesting to think about and it begs the question, will aliens study us, try to learn our history discover our knowledge maybe even immortalize out history in the universe once our species is long long gone, because as dark as it seems the human race won't live forever we will either drain resources so rapidly we will kill ourselves or we may even be wiped out by some act of god before we even make it past our solar system

I had been workshopping some fiction for a while now about a setting where humanity dies out having never left Earth but managed to create life that could; both through intentional genetic manipulation and unintentionally burning the complex climate-sustaining biosphere to the ground, the last generations of humans manage to seed a highly adaptive complex organism in an environment that strongly encourages rapid mutation and technological advancement. Talking about how intrinsically linked Humans are to the Earth just reminds me of how much I love the idea that humanity becomes instrumental in the evolution of more capable lifeforms.

20:49 Fun fact, by the time predators like smilodon and other north american critters at the time of that event invade South America from the south, which implied that they weren’t successful enough or faced too much competition from the native predators and struggled to hunt effectively there, causing them to go through the coastlines to the south only for them to go north after the climate event that actually wiped out the terror birds and many of the south american critters. We also still see living animals from these groups today like opossums and armadillos to this day, so it wasn’t a wipe out and many of the groups from south america only died out during the later part of the ice age. Tldr: climate change is the ultimate extinct level event.

To add some more information, the Answer to the Fermi Paradox that Roanoke briefly mentioned is known as the "Dark Forest Hypothesis." It is, in simple terms, that each civilization is hiding from each other due to the fear of what another civilization _could_ do. This also includes that any aliens would adopt a "Shoot first, ask questions later" mentality, since the species that shoots first would survive.

I mean it’s probably a good view to have. Think about some of the most intelligent creatures on this planet. Most of them are at the very least somewhat predatory. If you’re out in the dark woods you’re not going to call out “hey hello! Predators come get me!” You’re going to be quiet. Of course with everyone hiding it looks totally empty.
@user-ho4tb5qe7v3 жыл бұрын
Spent 13 mins wondering why the creature looks so similar, that meati-orite monster looks like Baliel from Basket Case. Though on the 'us jumping' ship thing, apparently humans feel great discomfort when we're away from Earth, they found that there might be a low-level hum that our bodies need to function properly that the Earth puts out (not sure if this means we like our specific Earth-hum or if any large enough spinning rock will do)
@jakeroberts75753 жыл бұрын
Can you explain more, I like how you type things out. So in theory, this hum that I assume is created by the gravitational force from the earths size and thus, we’d need a planet of Is I,Ar size, to surpass this “great discomfort” also where did you learn of that info from being away from earth n feeling discomfort, not that I don’t believe, I just wish to learn more. I apologize if you do not understand, I am not native to English as well as my family is haha

15:00 something to throw in in case its not mentioned. Schumann resonance. The literal vibration of the Earth. It was found that when the vibrational hum of the earth was played for astronauts they felt more calm and at peace. So yeah, without that vibration it can cause intense anxiety. Also why its important to go outside and in nature every once in a while. You can also listen to the tune for the same effect.

@stormjin22422 жыл бұрын
Yea the issue is, that hum isn't distorted by space, it's actually our space station that removes it, so if we can terraform a planet, we would probably be fine, as the tune is essentially the sound of being inside a planet sized magnetosphere

I already asked you about this one, but could you look at the Ecology of the monsters from Monster Hunter? Or the Oracle Cells from God Eater, and how they could possibly be used to make the living weapons, both Aragami and God Arcs?

I never got through this movie. A few friends and I gathered to watch it around Thanksgiving time and I think we hyped ourselves up too much because of Bruce Campbell. It had a fun, campy premise and some gross practical effects, but all of the characters were just so unlikable and the jokes were a bit flat. I would have watched it to the end personally, but the snobbiest amongst us couldn't take it and shut it down half way through. I think I'll watch it again on my own and give it another shot. EDIT: another fun fact, the female cashier that has the love interest with hot overall dude is Ivana Baquero, the little girl from Pan's Labyrinth.

Hi Roanoke. I would just like to give a quick tip about the Intercontinental Exchange between North and South America. While it is a popular idea that animals from the North were bigger and stronger, it's a big misconception that's now considered an outdated idea. South America had gone through it's own recent mass extinction around that time, with many of the megafauna of South America going extinct, such as several species of terror bird like Phorusracos, long lost ungulates like Toxodon, giant land crocodiles like Barinosuchus, and large marsupials like Thylacosmilus. Those animals that did survive of course made the crossing, and did well in North America for several millions of years, with terror birds like Titanis disappearing just before humans arrived, while Ground Sloths and Glytodonts (Giant turtle-like armadillos) persisted in North America until the end of the last ice age. Meanwhile in South America, those groups had lasted just as long, arguably longer with creatures like Megatherium and Doedicurus coexisting with Sabertooth cats like Smilodon for just as long during said exchange. Now some North American species probably did compete directly with native animals, the overall idea of North American dethroning South American fauna as the "stronger animals" is an outdated idea, since by the time North American animals got there, much of South America's larger megafauna were already gone, with North American migrants simply filling their roles rather than displacing them. Hope this helps with any confusion! Love your vids!

Counterargument for the people going shopping after "taking a parasite to the mouth" People in shock/after severe trauma can do some pretty strange things. There's always a possibility that a small subset of the human population would just go into autopilot after something like that, and given that black friday as an event already has some herd mentality stuff going on the shopping may just be the response of a human brain screaming about stuff. Disassociation or shock or whatever you want to call it, people do things when they get badly injured or go through something super traumatic, like getting face huggered.

Bruce Campbell is the only actor I consistently enjoy. I've slowly got more people to enjoy his acting and works and it is really nice to see a youtuber who I greatly enjoy and watch his videos over and over fangirls over him as much as I do. Bruce Campbell For a long time I was embarrassed to say I was a 'B' movie actor, ... But now that I see what Hollywood's putting out, I realized 'B' actually means 'better.

Hey! Love your work. At one point you said you didn't understand how people were being infected and continuing to shop. If this is the movie I think.. then I am confused. At the beginning of the movie.. aren't a bunch of people shown to be infected by contact with some green slime? I'm half convinced I have the wrong movie because it's odd of you to miss huge details like that.
