Why do people like yourself almost celebrate the complete demographic replacement of the native ethnic English in their own cities ? Why have you turned people of African decent into your religion ? You know as well as I do that their where almost none of these people in England in this time period even today they are only 2% of the population.

@@tyronedindu2094 You seem to be confusing England with this subject which is London. Joolz isn't claiming anything about black Africans in England as a whole. However as London was a major European port the numbers of Immigrants from all over the world would have been high.

What a fantastic Video and Subject Joolz. As a Mixed Race Man ( Jamaican and Irish ) growing up in London all my life, it’s fascinating that these stories are under my very nose. Often forgotten, but the fact is, the first slaves sent to the Caribbean to work were not from Africa, but white Irish. These include 2,000 Irish children Oliver Cromwell sent. It is said that 25% of modern day Jamaicans have Irish DNA.

3:30 For anyone wondering, £70 a year was really generous. In Dr. Johnson's time £50 a year was about right for a governess. That was a pretty good gig back then, only open to girls of "proper background." So Francis Barber was well set up for life.
