The Royal free hospital has always been an eyesore for the inhabitants of Belsize Park. But i am rather glad it's there regardless, In a life and death situation, i really wouldn't care how pretty the building was.

Typical British attitude asking for free land stolen from the indigonus native American tribes because the country Britain defended on the second world war won't sell a plot of land in London!!?? Well that truly explains why British government and their news media proudly stands with ( and supplies tactile weapons etc) to the occupiers of Palestine that's guilty of genocide but throws a middle finger too internal law and their British employees willingly stand up ànd continue to push their employers propaganda facts

Dear Barking Council, I have seen your plan for the revitalization of your lovely town, here on Joozy's channel. I feel it is a bit Spursy. (Spursy is an adjective that means to almost achieve your goal of thorphys but always nearly miss the goal) Let me give you some insight from America. I have a neighbor named, Maynard James Keenan. He is the mastermind of many sucessful bands. (Tool, Perfect Circle and Pussifer) I don't listen to his bands, its a bit too loud for my taste. But, I respect Maynard as a brillant bussines man who has revivalized this community with his vision and hard work. Maynard is an American combination of British and Italian. I've learn that these folks have a different umwelt. ( I learned the word umwelt in the book, "An immense World,' and am excited to be able to use it in a sentence) I have an immense respect for the British/ Italian umwelt and have learned to be fasinated by it and trust it. May nard James Keenan is who you want to talk to about your project. He is a good neighbor. You see, your current proect is a bit too priggish. I bit of trying to bat above your class. Your project needs to be proud of being working class and - as we say in America - 'lean into it.' We have a town called, Jerome. It is named after Jenny Jerome (Lady Churchill) who's brother owned the mine. Maynard saw this neglected mining town and decied to 'lean into it.' It's now a much loved tourist destination. People come to worship Maynard. (The guy doesn't have fans, he has disciples) But, also to enjoy the working class atmosphere and to celebrate the part of America that is working class relevery in working class history. You could do the smae with your town but instead of marketing Maynard James Keenan, market the heck out of the Billy Bragg umwelt. The time when the worst enemy was Maggie Thatcher, when people wore Doc Martins because they were cheap boots that kept you socks dry. A time when the football kit was exactly the right size. People don't want a sanatized verison of this 1970s to 1990s period of Billy Bragg's life. They want the drinking, the cussing, the pre-Premiere leugue fun of the era. Why are you giving people a stoggy musuem when you could give them fun ? Market the heck out of Billy Bragg and punk rock. You will sell -out ! My Grandfather married a widow from Devon, in the 1880s. He adopted her three children. Her first husband, the children's father had died in the poorhouse. That is how I am related to the Billy Bragg. Thank you for hearing my ideas for the revival of your town. Good Day, Sir, Good Day.

I live in Drakefield Road and must have been home because my car is behind Joolz at one point. I'm disappointed not to have been able to swap facts. Frankly, the next road along to the north, still part of the Heaver Estate, would have been more interesting for a video. It's prettier, the houses have retained more of their original features and nearly all have their name plaques intact. I believe it's the road in which snooker player Jimmy White grew up. Between the time it was a tram depot (which I never knew) and the flats with one window above a stink pipe, that particular site on Balham High Road had been a petrol station until maybe a decade ago. The primary school opposite, which wasn't shown, was a magistrates; court for youth offenders until the early 2000s.

Even in the 1980s, the school I attended (Canada, 7th grade) had Boys and Girls engraved on stone blocks above the entrances, although they were no longer practical. I suspect the owners of the building you've shown removed these engravings in some lame sad attempt to be "modern" and not offend anyone. *eyeroll*

Simon's Fan Club discusses Breeding (AKA American Tourist in Barking) My paternal grandmother's family lived in a small town in Illinios that was an enclave of immigrant from Devon. As I looked into the family history, I was hoping to discover that we were related to JMW Turner who's family was also from Devon, and who when asked, claimed to be born in Devon. Or perhaps we were related to Devon ledgend, "Pokerface Alice." This would be as you British say, "Good Breeding" But, on following the threads of our family to records across the ocean. I discovered instead that we are related to the Bragg family of Barking. This was even better news, as Billy Bragg has been my mix tape for decades. My uncle is also a Billy Bragg fan. There are records that my great grandfather spent time in Devon as a coachman. Therefore, a butler would be s step up for my family in the society. I realise that having releatives such as, but not limited to, JMW Turner, Pokerface Alice and Billy Bragg is a cornicopia of excellent breading and prestige. But, perhaps, not the kind of breading that a gentlmen's gentleman, such as, Simon feels he can tame into a proper lady. My Uncle & Father are related to Billy Bragg on their mother's side and June Carter -Cash, on their father's side. People can be intimdated when they meet my Uncle, because of his breeding and the fact that he is abnormally tall. (my nephew and great gandfather also abormally tall) People of Barking and Simon's Fan Club, I want you to know that you can treaat me and my family, like you would treat anyone one else. We are just normal people, "we sing, we dance, we love beauty- sometimes far too much." Don't let my families "breeding" (as you call it in England) blind you to the fact that we are just ordinary people, trying to find a bit of love and peace in this life. You can call me by my first name... When you consider my membership to the Simon Fan Club, please, consider my families dediction to the Arts and Peace and not their, "breeding." Thank you, Barking and other members of Simon's Fan Club for your consideration of my application to this fine club.

Joolz has recommended the movie, 'Attonment.' I will watch it because it comes well reccommended. The last truly great movie I saw, you know the kind where you loose time and enter a magical world for from day to day tasks of shining the gentleman's shoes, brushing the gentlemen's jacket, bringing the gentlemen's tea, enpting the gentlemen's wash basin...ect..ectt..... Brigadoon was a perfectly fastistic film. It had everything that a film needs; technicolor, dancing, singing, Scottish folks, and Gene Kelly. There was a guy who met a dame, there was a misunderstanding, then misunderstanding was clarified. And, they all lived happily ever after. I'll watch Atonement, but it will be no Brigadoon.
