I think you may also have olive skin - very nuanced and often assumed to always be warm (not true, there's warm and cool olive as well). Royal blue looks stunning on you!

Most also dont recognize olive in deep or dark skin. I am a neutral warm olive; I have a wide range of colors I can wear, but I cant go too cool or too warm. I also have to be careful with greens, and colors that can create green, or it will fade my coloring and make me look gray.@@heyhaggy

I’m so glad you said this. I feel people hardly talk about olive undertones for people of darker skin. I was assumed to be warm toned and was given very orange makeup at the makeup store. Took me years to realize i am olive undertone. Still not 100% on my color palette/season but i feel so much better understand color theory more. Cooler tones look better on me

It just dawned on me how crazy it sounds for us Black women to wonder if colors, which doesn't belong to anyone race, is for us... We are literally seeing what color palette works with us and not against. Of course, color analysis is BIPOC friendly the real question is, is the environment in which we enter into hospitable, is the staff respectful, easy-going, and inclusive? I can't wait to do a color analysis

It's not the complexion sis, same complexion/tone does NOTHING. It's the UNDERtone that matters. Look for BW with same complexion + season for makeup ideas

Be careful with analysts who by default categorize brown and black people as winters out of ignorance. All races can be any season regardless of skin tone, hair and eye color, bc the UNDERtone is what matters. The 1st analyst I went to, thought like this and misanalyzed me. She thought spring and summer were only for "blondes like her". Kerry Washington is a Spring however. I suggest the channel Color Analysis Studio. You'll see 2 BW with 2 different seasons. And their system is so clear and logical 😅 Don't take it the wrong way but your clothes and makeup for introducing this video are winter colors. Maybe more on the Deep winter side, but winter should make you glow regardless, as your season. While you look ok with them, they don't make you shine. You could be a spring with "bright spring" as your best palette, and still look good with bright winter as a result. Because of the bright intensity. You'll see what I mean after watching the channel I suggested.

I'm also a fellow bright winter myself, cool winter is my second best while autumn mute is my worst. Before trying the color analysis, I was thought I was a summer but turned out that electric, neon colors suit me better than the pastel/dusty color

14:57 Hi! The result really surprises me. According to Color Season Theory, the second best (or sister) season for Bright Winter is Bright Spring. The sister season for Dark Winter is Dark Autumn, which means that if dark winter colors suit you, dark autumn colors would suit you as well. If both seasons suit you (bright and dark) the third must suit you too (cool) and in this case you would be a true winter. It's not possible that you have two winter sub seasons. You have one or all three of them. If Bright Winter is your best season, then your dominant feature is Bright, not Cool. You then share that feature with Bright Springs.

@@heyhaggyhi. You may want to see the channel of Colour Analysis Studio. They analyzed a black lady some months ago and she was a Bright Winter (as I recall). Sarah Ryan Style Coach analyzed recently a WOC and I think she was dark winter (or cool winter, can't remember).

@@heyhaggy Hi! Just want to give you a caution that the analysis shared by the comment you replied to above follows a different color analysis method that most Korean analysis follows. Korean's personal color analysis follows either PCCS (originated from Japan) or KS (originated from Korean) system, thus they may have slightly varied palette/way of calling a season as well as way of classifying you into that season. Therefore, not all analysis/advice will be applicable to you depending on which method you originally did. I think the method above prioritizes one dominant feature, whereas PCCS or KS allows for two dominant features, which allows you to have a second best season that is in the same season family as your best. For example, I'm a light summer (light and cool), which on theory light spring should fit me too, but it does not because warm color does not suit me. My second best is actually bright summer (vibrant and cool), suggesting that mid-tone and muted color, even in summer, is also not a good fit, so I'm not really a true summer as well.
