Can’t tell you how many bear hunt videos I’ve watched, and hunting videos at that, but listening to your story, and when you finally pulled the trigger, it must have pulled the emotions from me deep. My eyes never watered watching a hunting video, EVER!!! Who cares about the yuppie’s who can fly to some far off place, spend all that $$$ to put another trophy on the wall. Well done friend!

Mitch, what a great story! So well done... Really enjoyed it. Hoping to connect with one this spring in Idaho... tried last year in the fall... saw one, missed... hoping for redemption... The hiking up and down over long distances is definitely the experience, but the beauty of the land made it all worth it.

Thank you very much! Hope you get into a monster. I'll be heading to Idaho this fall for a white-tailed deer. Been there a bunch of times but never big game hunting. Hoping for another adventure. Hope to see you out there!

Congrats, focus on cuts with good green with stands of big timber, 99.9% of the bear we see and kill are within 150yrds of big timber... Also.. a mtn bike is your friend .

Thank you. That's pretty much the scenario we try to find. And the Mtn bikes are definitely going with us this season.

What happened with the shot 😳
@mitchweigel67132 жыл бұрын
The camera was on a tripod. Jeremy was watching through binos. The bear walked out of frame stopped, and took the shot. It hit just behind the left shoulder. The camera doesn't do the country justice. It's very strait up and down. So the bear rolled about 250 yards straight down. He stopped literally on top of an old brush pile left from the logging. It got dark right after. I had no ware to set up a camera while we processed and packed up. That's why there's no footage of that. Thanks for watching!

Good stuff ! ! ! When you spoke of your rifle you said ""CHAMBERED"" in 300 win mag, I thought OMG someone knows the difference in a Chambering and "caliber". I'm amazed at the number of people, many experienced riflemen, who incorrectly say 'it's a 300 winmag caliber,, LOL. I bet the 'caliber' people drive in the left hand lane on the Interstate at 8mph under the speed limit ....
