Jesus, this is surreal. Blue Murder was the first CD I ever bought with my own money. Rest well John.

This is whitesnake ,just goes to show how much influence he had on the band . I reckon this is how Thin Lizzy would of ended up sounding if history was different

The 1 dislike is Dave Coverdale trolling. Thanks for uploading this Dig This.

I just got a near mint copy of this album on vinyl and just blasted the speakers. I wish I had discovered this band years ago. 🤘🤘🤘

Forget his playing, listen to John Sykes’s singing. Holy lord.

Yes he sounds brilliant both voice & guitar. Love this song & the whole album. If this had been promoted properly it would have been huge. Love John Skyes 🎸🖤❤

No doubt. What's insane is he pulled off the vocals live in addition to playing these insane parts as well. If you're a guitarist...you will understand how difficult it is to sing counter melodies over basic chord progressions and John is playing extremely difficult parts and his singing is better than most other vocalists of that era. The dude is an absolute beast.

This is basically John's musical sequel to his own 'Bad Boys' and 'Cnildren of the Night' on the '1987' album.

You listen to this again and instantly you realize why the 87 Whitesnake album was the best one and everything after Sykes sucked because everything after didn’t have John Sykes. Not just his playing but his songwriting
@michaelschmidt97084 күн бұрын
@@licecestep9411 I actually like all the albums Coverdale has done since '1987' to one degree or another but none of them can touch THAT album. And the Blue Murder debut DESTROYS 'Slip Of The Tongue'. One of my all-time favs.

The intro is classic Whitesnake. Rest easy, John Sykes.
That intro sounds like Children of the NIght It seems John got to use it again. John was a badass

Sounds similar but not the same, so he didn't get to use it again. It's a different riff. If it's the same riff, then he "got to use it again". Do agree that he was a badass back then and still is today! Just needs to get the new album released and remind everyone.

Intro guitar riff is basically the same as Whitesnake's "Still of the Night". John Sykes co wrote most of the songs and laid down most of the guitar before David Coverdale fired everyone. Sykes is one hell of a guitar demon!!
@RG-ms1ou7 жыл бұрын
No, I think it's closer to Bad Boys than Still of the Night. Either way, Sykes rules!
@squatchwatcher25 жыл бұрын
Sounds alot like Bad Boys off of Whitesnakes self titled album. Same songwriter so who cares, still rocks.
@ronrubicon15934 жыл бұрын
Seriously, just listen to John Sykes's vocal performance here. Forget his ridiculous guitar playing. Listen to this fucking guy sing.

This is the only song that, sounds like 1987 Whitesnake.... More of a Children of the Night than a Still of the night or anything else from that album..... To b fair Whitesnake Slip of the tounge didn't have a single song that sounded like it could've been on the 87 album
