When I saw a clip of BHC 110 going up the steep hill, it's like I can hear him say, "I think I can".

Railfanning and trucks go together for sure. That chuff and wheel slip sounded great. Thanks

Wish I could have seen it. But at the crossing was the top of the hill with level grade.

One of my favorite locomotives as well. They made a G scale model of this that went with my other LGB (German G scale model company that isn’t really around anymore) and it was really nice (back when these were used on the Uintah railway) - Baldwin did a great job with these beauties. I wonder what was in that jar he poured in before filling her with water.

Great camera angles of the train. Thanks for getting wet to get the shots of the train. Definitely like hearing the wheel slip on the grade coming up the hill.

She struggled to climb that gradient, like you said a bit of wheel spin at times, nice video Steve. A bit more commentary on the specification of the loco would be appreciated. Keep those good videos coming, Steve.

Are any sidings still visible on the line? I was out there a month ago but didn’t get a chance to ride. Drove the line and read about the old industries but didn’t see any evidence.

There is a narrow guage wye that heads south to something. Long abandoned, but the rails are there. Close to where I was standing on the flat straightaway there were mines there. They explain it well on the ride. The narrow guage wye is in the video I did from inside the train.

Sound's like he does not have the current speed to go up the hill. That is what my last student did (Training a student to get his Certified Drivers License to drive a Semi. And he failed. Since he was trying to climb a hill in high gear. And he destroyed the transmission and clutch. And he can't study to get his CDL in a year since he failed the 2nd time. I bet u wished u had a rain jacket.

Nah, it was only water. I was more worried about the camera.

@@fscrailroad2321 rain doesn't bother me at all. That video u posted chaining down a snow machine. My wife was like he's going to be soaked. I said I been there so many times. A week ago I had to get a truck that bricked down. And it was raining bad. By the time I got to the yard I was soaked. Wife seen me and gets fresh clothes. And I showered at the bathroom since it has showers for the mechanics.
