That’s so neat that you have all the Pulitzers. It’s a great feeling when you find a group of books in a style you really get along with.

What a great month you had, even with some switch ups. I am specifically delighted that you had such a great experience with your first graphic novel. It’s a whole new world, isn’t it?

I love Elizabeth Strout's books. "Olive Kitteridge" is one of my favorites. I was lucky enough to meet the author at the Boston Book Festival a couple of years ago. She is delightful. I agree with your assessment of "Quicksand" by Nella Larsen. It was very frustrating, as it starts so well and has such a week ending.

I’m so happy you’re enjoying Descender. Felt a strange amount of pressure, since you don’t read graphic novels 😂 But we rarely, if ever, disagree, so I shouldn’t be surprised!

I have often wondered whether to give Olive Kitteridge a try so appreciated hearing your thoughts on that one 😊 You have some really great reading projects on the go.

Another great reading month - 21 is off to a solid start! I really should read Quicksand and Grant Park sounds interesting. You and Rick have also made me curious about Tin Stars! And thanks for another wonderful buddy read, my friend - looking forward to the next one :-)

Looking at olive ketteridge as a series of short stories makes a lot of sense and I probably rated it lower as I didn’t think of it In that way. Definitely loved buddy reading with you 😊

Emily I know just what you mean. I remember that was rather thrown by it effectively being linked short stories. I felt cheated of the novel I was expecting. If I had been expecting short stories, it would have been a lovely surprise that they were interconnected and ultimately gave me a rich picture of Olive and her community.

Love the cover of your edition of _Lot_ ! So much better than mine. _Lot_ has one of the most impressive stories I think I have ever read. I really liked _Memorial_.

Glad to hear that you liked Lot, but sorry to hear that Quicksand was a bit of a disappointment.
