After being kidnapped from Africa, lynched, murdered, raped, tortured and wasn’t suppose to survive but instead thrived to dominate everything, sports, dance, music and every art from and creating every genre of music, my oppressors thought they would destroy me but after 400 yrs under thier oppression I rose up attesting of how great mother Africa’s children are all over the diaspora, reinventing everything, I am the creator of math, science, medicine and language. I am and I have always been the greatest of all time.

When you really think about it, overcoming is seriously within our history and in our DNA. They tried to kill us off but they didn’t. They tried to break us all the way down with bondage and slavery but we overcame that then when we were “freed” they tried to put us down AGAIN and call us “less than” with their Jim Crow laws and segregation etc.. and wanted us to see ourselves as that, but we overcame that as well and we continue to thrive and do well in this day and age despite the challenges we face... That’s why they’re mad.
