Why didn’t I wear this beautiful thrifted 1930’s inspired outfit for New Year’s Eve? Watch to the end to find out. 👀

That dress is a total knock out, and I didn’t even notice the zipper till you mentioned it! Anyway, I hope you had a nice New Year’s Eve. All the best for 2024!!

I did! An afternoon party and then home for the countdown. 🎊 And it sure is … just a bit too small :( All the best to you and yours this coming year. ❤️

Très, très chic!! An ensemble worthy of the Oscars' red carpet... too bad about the zipper. xo

thank you! i can’t believe celebrities don’t opt for thrifted fashions … they would still look dazzling for a fraction of the cost and they would be helping the environment too - not to mention, drawing attention to the plight of exploited workers in the fashion industry around the world. Once in a while, a star will wear one of their outfits over again … but rarely - and they may wear vintage, but definitely not enough.

That would definitely be admirable, raising awareness, etc. Alas, I think the red carpet is mainly about promoting clothing and jewelry designers, with celebrities as their high profile models, and lots of name dropping by the media commentators. I believe some jewelry (and gowns) might be on loan... or rented? Anyway... I think you look fabulous in black, dawling!! xo
