Very smooth harmony and the lyrics! Outstanding!! This group should have been receiving Grammy's! But their talent is not wasted because people are still listening to them almost 50 years later!!!

I wonder if I would have liked this cut had I heard it back when I was a kid riding with my brother and sister in the '85 Caravan. My dad would play his old mix-tapes, magic would pour outta the speakers, and you could feel the love my parents shared. The way they looked at each other during Black Ivory's "You Mean Everything To Me" made that one of my favorite songs ever... until I heard this. Wow!

@William Rivers the bass player on this song is James Calloway. He is a long time bass player for Black Ivory. Check out his work on their recordings Daily News, White Wind and Mainline. Phenomenal! My uncles, big brother cousins everybody listened to this during the 70s it was all over the radio too so as a youngin you couldn't help but to love soul music and ballads. By the time I was 13 I was a vet, Earth Wind & Fire The Isleys, Spinners, Tavares, all those groups would drop albums every year not to mention the other 8-10 great groups and soloist I didn't mention.
