Black Jack Boots Full Quill Ostrich Review

These Black Jack Full Quill Ostrich boots are just fantastic. I got these Black Jack Boots in a V toe and sized down a half size. I would definitely recommend sizing down. I feel like I almost could have gone down a full size in these full quill ostrich boots from Black Jack. I highly recommend Black Jack. Just great boots.

Black Jack Boots are well built and comfortable. The only take away I see is the shaft. I agree with you that it needs to be 12” or greater. Aside from that the boot is great looking and well manufactured.

I heard ostrich leather is very soft supple leather yet also extremely durable as well. Is this true? Sounds like a great combo.

That is absolutely true of full quill. It’s tough as nails but very thin and soft. It’s is one of my favorite hides for that reason. Smooth ostrich is very tough and soft although it’s a little bit thicker. Ostrich leg looks fantastic but it is not very soft and supple in comparison

For the black jacks? They run pretty true to size. The tops are normal width. I’m sorry I’m not Home right now to measure. The Heritage boots run a little snug and the tops are very narrow

How much do full quill boots stretch once broken in? I just bought my first pair in size 11 and I'm wondering if I should go down to a 10.5. I noticed in these and in the Heritage boot you sized down.

Watching both of your videos, the ostrich skin on the Black Jacks looked higher quality than the Heritage boots. Thanks for answering. I also wholly agree with you about inserts - they are not needed with quality boots.

Thanks for the video Nice boots I just bought a pair of Black Jacks from Tyler Texas cavenders It’s the camien ones with the star on shaft Sure you’ve seen them I like them I have a narrow foot Wear a 12 in a shoe Measurements say I’m a 12 1/2 C or so So I went with a 11 D in it Wide square toe style Mine are tighter going on than yours but will break in I’m sure . I have skinny bird legs too know the feeling . I may go back and get the the brown ostrich wide square toe ones like yours I tried on a pair in 11 D they just had the wide square toe only difference and they were comfortable . Do you feel these boots are made better than Anderson Bean ? Also, it’s crazy but I’m sure it’s normal to go down a full size in a boot with narrow feet .. I bought 11 1/2 for many years and after break in. They always had play in instep So trying 11 D now The black jacks I bought are the first to try in that size . Like I said mine don’t go on as easy as yours But I’ve heard of they go on easy new They will get more loose after breaking in 11 1/2 did that for me

I would say yes they are nicer than anderson bean. Beans are very nice though. I don't thunk its weird to go down a whole size at all. And alot of how easy it goes on has to do with how tight it is in the throat of the boot. That can vary from style to styke. Thanks for watching!

@@LoneStarBootReviews Thanks so much for sharing the videos I’ve bought boots many years a little big thinking I wear a 12 shoe my boot size should be the same But narrow feet really effect the length of a boot especially if your are smaller than a D width I’ve learned hear of late . Wish it was like the old days and the folks that work at boot stores cared more about fit .. they have no clue now Especially cavenders etc .. Otherwise I wouldn’t have bought wrong sizes. I have had a hand full of AB boots too and like them As well as Luchesse .. The Black Jacks do look high class maybe a tad over Luchesse too AB I’ve had are nice but they do have the wood heel instead of leather I have been enjoying the vids thanks much

Other than full custom I would say Black Jack. If you don't want to spend that much, I really like Hondos which are made in Mexico but the company is based in El Paso
