I have 4 pairs of Heritage Boots and love them. First pair were brown shark skin, then a pair of black boots called Patty's Boots, a pair of roughouts with a red shaft and a pair of brown Apache. All are snip toe which I like the best. Wife has a pair of stingray boots long shaft and a pair of light brown calf with white and blue inlays. You really get great value in these boots.

I've got a really high instep so it was harder to get mine on at first - I had to use the plastic bag trick. Mine were completely comfortable out of the box, and I have larger calves. Great review.

I see you did not get a response - but I'll give you my opinion if you are trying to decide between the 2. I am older and I own a horse farm, so I am different than most as I wear boots all day everyday - in a suit or in jeans. I own a Ton of boots, and I actually own 4-5 pairs of Heritage and 5-6 pairs of Black Jack boots. As for build quality, I am not sure there is much difference between BJ and Heritage, as they are BOTH fantastic quality boots. For reference 20-40 years ago I considered Lucchese as THE boot to buy. They still make a nice handmade boot and great custom made boots, but they now also produce a TON of sub par boots. Heritage is VERY limited on their offerings and finding your size can be challenging. They also run 1/2 size larger than most other boots. The ladies that work there - they have a guy too I believe ...they are all very nice and not pushy, they have actually talked me out of ordering pairs that they thought would not fit my lifestyle/health. Ordering BJ boots is a long waiting game - Tim's Boots is the best place I've found but often the wait is 10-13 months. You can find limited availability at places and before waiting a year for a pair, I would probably find one in stock at a retailer. I own ostrich from BJ and Heritage and honestly they would be a tie on a 1-10 scale...probably scoring a 9...my Lucchese handmade ostrich would get an 8 probably. Good luck to you.

That is a nice boot, That is a square I can wear! I feel like it stands out from the bland square toe and has a good choice of color with the nice stitchings on the shaft. Now.... I thought you said you were going to a ball game? I hate to tell you ..but as a part time Michigan person... No one plays baseball with the Detroit Tigers... they just suck period LOL They play girl's catch.. not baseball.
