i'll answer that: because it's never been a real band. it's always been "Zakk Wylde plays with 3 other dudes while Ozzy is on vacation". Also their material suffer from being too similar at times. I love Black Label Society, but boy do some of their albums get repetitive. Also it would've really helped BLS if Zakk had introduced the acoustic and piano stuff earlier. show a different side of the band, because for most people BLS is music for alcoholic tatooed bikers.

BLS have come out with amazing music over the years but this song has to be one of their best. Zakk is so unbelievably talented but never takes himself too seriously. Every time he talks about other musicians he always has something positive to say. He is a class act and easily one of the best guitarists of all time.

Live recent shows (2019) they both went into the crowd for a 10 min solo.. also the 2nd guitar player got some guitar solos for years mostly “ in This river” cause zakk was playing piano. You want to see a band with the 2nd guitar player gets zero leads I think that’s Slash with Myles ..

This made my day. The BLS sound is like that older brother I look up to that I never had. Familiar and we grew up together. The verse riff is so infectious, the vocal melody, that lead, and of course the black label shenanigans. Father Zakk and the fellas...you are appriciated and needed. Hi bro. Can you suggest what album to start with BLS? Or should I start with Grimmest hits to feel the vibe.

I'd start from the first album, and go through in order. It's funner that way. You can see the change from album to album as the band changes and what not. Buuut my absolute favorite album by them is 1919 Eternal. So I suppose you could start there if you don't dig the first album. Pretty solid stuff from.
