I never understood how having powers was synonymous with being either a hero or villain. Why can't having Powers just be that... you having powers? Cisco's reasons for giving up his was complete bull.

Yea, you can have those powers but still living like a normal human being who has to be extra careful when going to the hospital or to the doctor in general unless your dream is about being a lab rat. In Jennifers case.. she could make roasted marshmallows without using a lighter or never have to worry about power blackout. Not going to pee in darkness. She wouldn't need to pay a lot for electricity at home or for her future EV.. It's possible but that's not the topic in those Meta-human universe.
