My husband keeps telling me that when I start thinking that way I'm giving up and giving in to the outside world's perceptions and criticisms. I still wear black lipstick at 59. And now a days it takes me longer to do my make-up now too. when you do a messy-not so precise make-up in your 20's, you're an edgy rebel; when you do a messy-not-so-precise make-up in your 50's, you're an inept old woman who needs her eye prescription checked.

I really appreciate people older in this scene still doing this; you prove that you can rock this fashion and look well beyond your 30s and that is very reassuring. You are the embodiment of loving yourself and being what you are. That's so rare to see, especially in women older than me. I wish women older than me were confident as you are. Not even with a gothic look, just looking confident, *period*. My mother is 63 and she doesn't feel self-assured because of her age. Keep rocking it.

I totally get that from having worked retail in an area with primarily elderly people. Hearing all these women talk down about themselves, either because they allowed themselves to be defined by their marriage, or they're bigger than they used to be, I just... Like, I live in the rural south, so a lot of men and women culturally weren't taught to dress up or put a lot of effort. So they don't know what to do to spruce themselves up and feel better.

I adore you!You make me feel so much better about progressing in age and not having to give up the things you love because society says we are too old. I am 41 and a single mom to two 17 year old boys and it is easy to feel like I am losing touch with my true self sometimes. Your videos bring nostalgia,creativity and a break from the monotony.

I'm so glad to see these women empowered and having the guts to be who they want to be, age ignored. Ageism is just as offensive as racism and all of the other ignorant "isms". Part of the attraction of Goth is that age isn't necessarily a factor. Look at all the beauties, male and female, at the Mera Luna festivals...all ages, all styles, all accepted and admired. I don't know who came up with the "rules"of how to dress and do make up at certain ages but they need to go back to their caves and leave those of us who are different and creative to enjoy our lives and our looks. I was born in 1964. Look 30 and don't give a rats arse what society says. My mother told me not to wear mini skirts after I hit 40. So I bought a leather one, put on my spike Victorian boots and got hit on by a 17 year old. I still don't care. Ladies. Please, don't lose yourselves. I nearly did. Much love. Be safe and well. I do wear it occasionally for a club night at 47 years old - but not for daytime. I think it really makes a difference if you have a good liner and get it very precise. I have this exact one and it's great for long wear, but a less dry one is Urban Decay Vice lipstick in Perversion.

Your blank face is extremely beautiful! Primer will actually make a huge difference for your skin, I'm 39 and the right primer does amazing things for my skin now I'm older (I also have a cornucopia of chronic illnesses that age me too). I also have extremely pale and 'glass' skin, I know what it's like. Primer on the lips and around the outside line of the lips stops the lipstick, or whatever lip product you use, from 'feathering' into those fine lines we all start to get from being 30 onwards. I'm saving up to buy a really expensive primer, the one by Tacha that is *amaxing* as I tried a sample and my skin looked *so good*! You look so beautiful with those black lips, with the right base products and the right other make-up you can wear black lips and look as stunning as always!

I did try to wear a dark plum lipstick a few days ago and it seemed okay but my lighting in the bathroom isn’t that great. Absolutely! I am still rocking my Goth look and I am 60! YOU are gorgeous and of course you will look fabulous! Lol... I use Revolution hydrating primer if I use it at all! You have wonderful bone structure! I don't do Mac on animal welfare grounds but I wouldn't expect anyone to throw out good product they have already bought! You look fabulous without makeup... you are just winding us up lol... I think I am already subbed to you if I am not I'm going to... I am an original Punk turned Goth. The original punks are all my age or older. I tend to leave the outer edges on an upward tilt...it lifts my eyes but I am developing hooded eyes so it's difficult to draw cat eye liner but if you draw it with your eyeshadow not liner it comes out better...you can do the liner after you do the cat eye wings... you are very beautiful!

I think you can wear whatever you want at any age! I must admit, I haven't worn black lipstick since some time in the 90's! I think about getting some, then Black moon comes out with something I like better. At 47, I found I can't do a lot of eye make up anymore it just doesn't look right.
