Is it possible to be spiritually connected to people of different race on the other side of the globe. I am African from South Africa and there is something about these drums that just speak to me, as a kid I was obsessed with western movies that had indians and ofcourse crying my eyes out everytime the indians were being killed, homes destroyed. Iam glad I found this clip

Tribal people can understand each other, You are indigenous also, on your ancestors' homelands. Bob Marley said "Mama Africa" lived through the people stolen from her, the rhythms from Africa are in many types of songs in the western world now: Soul, Jazz, Salsa, Merengue, etc. The tribal beats you feel, say the same your people do! Peace!

Fikiswa Nonjuzana You expressed exactly that which I feel in my heart. I am Eurasian born in Europe but now live in Australia. Since my very early childhood I have always felt a deep love and connection to the Native American people, but I don't have that love or connection with my own people. I feel the Native American drumbeat in my heart and I rejoice at seeing Native American people or Native American quotes and sayings as well as traditional and cultural things. I share in and feel the sadness and pain the Native Americans feel and have done so since my childhood. God bless all Native American people.

Fikiswa Nonjuzana Aniin, nana boozhoo (hello, how are you) I am anishinaabe (the people) from the tribe Ojibwa. It is possible to be connected. It is purity that you're feeling, which is good. Our people welcome anyone willing to learn, or to even listen to our music. My people lived and live with peace, love, and compassion. So yes, it is very well possible that you feel something from listening to our music. The drum beating brings peace, and brings the spirits to join. The singing does the same thing. Oh, and chii-miigwech for showing sympathy for my people and cousins. Baamaapii niijii, baamaapii. (Next time friend, next time) also, check out my KZbin page, nativeways. Your questions could be answered there.

Cool thing about a powwow, you could pass out and nobody would buy you. You'd wake up with a blanket on you, is all.
