Is this on the Pala reservation in California, I’m from Barona. I prefer dancing outside, I’m a Women’s Southern Traditional dancer. We have a powwow every Labor Day weekend on my reservation

Yes, this was Pala Res, but they stopped doing their annual powwow for some reason. I also filmed at Barona for 10 years, I remember the baseball diamond powwow! Then Barona powwow moved to the current area. I moved to Texas in 2019, haven't been back to Cali since. Looks like Soboba, Pala, have stopped powwows. I also filmed Bird Dancing, and Chumash, Paiute, Tachi, Ohlone gatherings. All on my own funding. Wish I could have kept it going, but I see the younger generation doing great videos with the newer smartphones.
