The thing that impresses me most is his ability to capture the tones and the pronunciations and the accents as well. I'm just starting my journey to learning the Asiatic languages at 20. I'm starting with Mandarin but the fact that he can pull down the tones of Mandarin and Cantonese so well is amazing. Like, i'm sure many of the workers have had people come up to them after 1 month of duolingo and try to converse in broken chinese with an american accent, but what gets them so excited about Moses is that he sounds like one of them. I aspire to reach that proficiency. I think it's cool that he has a conversational level in like 50 languages plus a fluency in like 5 but I think I'm gonna set my goals for being fluent in cantonese, mandarin, arabic, and my native language english. Anything else is just fun stuff for the side. I almost forgot but I love that he know some of the dialects as well. Shanghai and Fuzhou are a little bit harder than just the base, so it shows when he puts in the effort to learn them. Plus he knows Hmong which is pretty cool.

" marcell: "uhh, yeah" *target is walking away* *moses pointing at the salt* "hey excuse me, is this spicy?" target: "sir are u on drugs?" --- *beautiful spanish woman is standing by the toilet paper* moses: "hey excuse me im shopping for my wife, what would u recommend? I mean whats the best?" --- *at the funeral* "hey do you come here all the time?" "excuse me?" Rip lost a real one but damn I bet he's inspired so many of us to try and learn new languages. What's even more impressive to me is how he can recognize people's accents so well and then when they tell him their hometown or city he always sounds like he knows of it and I can't tell if he has also just memorized a globe or if that's just how he comes off. Damn what an amazing soul. His body may be gone but he surely lives on in us.

I agree. That’s too big of an age gap. The rule is divide your age by 2 and add 7. It’s usually about right. She was very beautiful though. I’d marry her even if I didn’t understand a word she said

I've been wanting to learn American sign language as my third language since I was young and Mose was the final inspirational push I didn't know I needed to do that I've been learning for about 5 months now and know I will still be passionate about this language well into my adulthood :)
