I'm an American who moved to another country a few years ago. I've loved Black Marble for a while now as I've grown and changed in a new, uncomfortable environment. One day, I decided to see if they had any music videos on here and found this clip. As I watched it for the first time, I felt so much strong nostalgia. It felt almost too familiar. And of course I broke down when I saw at the end that this had been filmed in Mississippi, my home state. Occasionally, the universe, no matter what's going on in your life at the moment, decides to send you an unexpected message, and I think that this was one of them. This video captured some of the most iconic aspects of growing up in the South that can't quite be expressed so well in any other way, so as a result, it's one of my all-time favorites. Thank you so much for your beautiful music and this video. :)

Everybody's on their way to heaven Everybody's gotta die to get there Everybody knows The only way to go is to set up a private show Everybody lies to stay together Still, everybody tries to stay together Meet me on the road' the only thing I know I've gotta take for us to go 'Cause I'd rather not drive 'Cause it's been a thousand years since I last tried And I'd rather not sleep 'Cause I know that I'll have fevers in my dreams Everybody's waiting on the weather Trying to set up a private show Waiting on the sun Driving to the Pilot for their candy and their guns Everybody wants to keep the lights on But everybody doesn't have a choice Everybody knows The bus to Hampton Roads is where you're gonna lose your voice 'Cause I'd rather not drive 'Cause it's been a thousand years since I last tried And I'd rather not sleep 'Cause I know that I'll just see you in my dreams And I'll see you at my' see you at my show And the more that I know The more I can control And I'll see you in shimmering light Saying "Hey little mountains"- I finally found you I'm finally alone Come on' let's go

"I've gotta take for us to go" I think it's "I've gotta take the bus to go" I'm not saying you're wrong, but this way makes more sense to me considering the hook and the "Hampton bus" lyric the next time around.

calling it now since every single so far has been beautiful - this will be the definitive album! just like the third studio album should be! the songs so far have been in your face, not so underwater as the past material (which i love!) - this feels more "indie-ish" and i mean it in the best possible way! like a practice in new order songs! bigger than life!

as much as i try to pretend i’m not a fan of southern roots this video really brings me back to going to the county fair and just smelling a combination of funnel cakes, firework smoke, and cigarettes and being surrounded by a bunch of happy families and friends waiting in line to go on the zero gravity spinner ride. people can say the south is a place of racism and ugly accents but they don’t get to see just how warm and welcoming most people usually are. thanks black marble.

I grew up in the 80's. So, I have never been a fan of bands that sound like...or the Tarantino DJ generation. However, like the ghost Box label, Sacred Bones have an ear for amazing bands! This band are stone cold killer! It's gorgeous and pulls at your heart and soul. I am a Brit from North Shields living in NY. Music is boundary less and lives in every cell and fibre of your being. Maybe more than books and films. It's such a direct uncut link to our past existence. Powerful! I need to buy some BLACK MARBLE.
