Well, there was once a big spider in my house, and I brought it back outside with paper and a cup and then put him on a rock unharmed. I've helped get a fish untangled from fishing line and put him back in the water. One time, a snake was next to me in the river, and I backed away to give him space. I admire and care for animals both endangered or not. What do you want from me?

Doc Antle is just worried about his business, I live in a small city in Texas and a friend of mine had a tiger for about a year before it got seized, another classmate got a tiger as a Christmas present. It is a very real reality that tigers are just living in people’s houses and apartments.

I used to run tours in prisons, where people could get selfies with different breeds of inmates. Went well for awhile, but the insurance premiums got too high, so now we just make tv shows.... hahahaha. Same thing right?

@spyder6100 well they are the problem... unintentionally as it is. Overall, people are always the problem. A person will start a business to offer people a service or product. People than give that person money, it all starts innocent enough. Then the person who runs a business wants or requires more money to grow their business so more people can give them money... this is where the mistakes start. Go from enslaved tigers in the swamps of Florida so people can get a picture with a tiger, to the mines in Africa where children drag minerals to make the phone to take the picture. Are we victims of shady business or are we guilty of not caring just as long as it's affordable? Personally, I think we're all guilty of being victims.

My 7 Month old Pitbull was taken from his mother at 1 week old and spent the next 4 months at a rescue. He has night terrors every time he sleeps and is in a constant state of uncertainty... Imagine a few hundred pound tiger feeling that way.

I’m conflicted. There are some species of animals that humans were able to help with captive breeding programs. So I know it can be helpful. But at the same time if he did abuse animals then he should be held accountable. And it sounds cruel I when I hear that they feed animals other dead animals but to my understanding another wild cat rescue demonstrated that they won’t eat anything else.

Breeding in captivity is done selectively, leading to inbreeding and overall lack of genetic diversity. And none of those animals raised by humans will ever be capable of living as wild animals.

Some good news is the Big Cat Public Safety act passed and became law in 2023. It banned tiger ownership in the US and cub petting operations are now illegal.

Why they dont want to let you see the tigers, and take selfie, is because that tiger perhaps will be slaughtered tommorrow, and you could come with authorities day after to seek for that tiger and they cand show it. Tigers have unique stripe patterns.

People care more such as cats, at least in the west. We grow up used to thinking of animals such as cows and chickens and pigs as food. That is a part of it. However, tigers are also not herbivores. Other animals have to be raised and slaughtered themselves in order to be fed to the tigers which are then slaughtered for their parts. Also, there is the inbreeding problem.

Doing all that can be done to save the species is great. If the governments won't do it independents have to act, and if it's not perfectly done, oh well. At least there are tigers being created instead of poached. The world probably owes these people a big thanks for tigers still being around. I know its not perfect so no need to say it folks!
