Which part of black mirror Is futurist commentary first, then entertainment second. Don't you get !??????

I saw your review before Harry's, and I gotta say, it's really cool to not only see such a differing viewpoint, but it's also heartwarming to see the both of you support each other. I think you both make a lot of good points, and while I agree with your critique of the main characters being unengaging, the overall message of the episode hit hardest and was by far the most brilliant one yet in terms of how it mirrors the current social climate of apathy and how cruel we can be under the veil of anonymity - or at least, what we've erroneously convinced ourselves is anonymity.

There is a reason free speech exists. Don't agree with her article? Argue against it, debunk it. Let it spark conversation, because her article wasn't just hateful trolling, it was legitimate arguments that differed from the popular opinion. When you immediately decide to partake in hateful mob mentality it reveals your ignorance and proves the point that humans revel in cruelty. And what do u mean cancel culture victims get mad when others have differing opinions? Its literally the exact opposite. People insult and troll people they disagree with, using personal attacks, calls for violence and constant death threats. In a logical society you engage with those you disagree with, you don't try to 'cancel' them for having thoughts lmao? Cancel culture victims should not be shut down bc ppl disagree.

that's not what a hive mind is. A hive mind is more like a collective intelligence, like a large group of people who all have similar thought process. The metaphor is that bees represent a hive mind because all the bees function together and are "hard wired" (for lack of a better word) to sustain the hive. The bees are like the thousands of people on social media all rooting for someone's death. You can imagine the bees as the people because they both cause the death of the individual.

Jr Dennison Doctor Who is a sci-fi show about a time traveler in a police box with his companions as they travel through time and space and they encounter many aliens and historical figures. It’s defiantly more lighthearted and comedic than Black Mirror but still a really good show, especially the earlier seasons with Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant. Doctor Who’s more sci-fi with some thriller/horror elements as opposed to the more psychological thriller and horror of Black Mirror. Plus Doctor Who is more of a family show, as Black Mirror is for older audiences, and they can’t really get into really gory stuff or fucked up themes like Black Mirror can. There’s still some creepy episodes of Doctor Who, my favourites being Blink and The Empty Child. The whole show (from 2005) is on Netflix, and it’s a great show!
