Thank you for putting this up. And explaining some of the history of Black Mountain College. I am now seeking books on the topic. So many artists, weavers, potters, dancers, poets & musicians emerged. All would shape the avant grade of the USA. This side of the Pond only Dartington College in Devon adopted this particular way of teaching. It is one that we should all consider.

Art and life had the same word in some Native American languages. Funny, I never thought of art as the ability to be a critical thinker. That’s better than how I’ve said it’s the ability to make mistakes and not be upset by them. Many people believe critical thinking is being removed from the American mindset.

So misogynistic, if it wasn't for those women Black Mountain College would be nothing. They were the real visionaries.
