This is so incredibly well produced and deserves so many more views! As someone with very little knowledge of black music history I was captivated by Bill’s storytelling and the accompanying footage. It killed me when we got to current day music and he brushed it all off as ‘crying to an electronic piano’ 😂😂 Bravo Lauren! Hope to see more content like this in the future!

This is excellent, such a talented family and well produced documentary. I respect how Mr Bill Speed comes across both here and on Love is Blind. Pleasure to watch. Well done Lauren.

Lauren, I wanted to comment and say I am so ready to see you step into your greatness! I love you and Cameron but feel that the general public hasn't even scraped the surface of your talent and ability . I look forward to seeing what you do now that you have a larger platform and the support of a good man in your tool box .

Ooo chile! This moved me so much! It took me back to why I LOVE TO SING! Watching stuff like this as a kid. Feeling so worthless, fighting depression but music from this era made see my people, our worth, and what WE brought to the table.I wasn't able to trace my ancestry but our language and history I was able to feel in my soul through music. Lauren I love you and Cam but honey you need to get back to your calling. God put it on my heart to write this message. And I do not usually ever write in the comments. Btw this was extremely well edited! OH, and thank you Papa Speed for all you have done and are doing. Without knowing, you were apart of my childhood(I watched BET alot! #DonnieSimpson&SherriCarter). Thank you for your contributions❤

I love hip hop but the music before the hip hop stage was more meaningful to me. The messages were clearer.
