5800X3D+4070 Ti here, I tried the benchmark tool. Set res to 1440p + DLSS quality + Framegen with everything at cinematic with full RT and was getting the same performance i get in Cyberpunk and Alan Wake 2 with PT, 65-80 fps. I'm happy with that. AMD users won't be happy until the devs remove any Nvidia related feature from the game, they really are the PC equivalent of console warriors.

Games like this prove that Raster performance is important but boring. I take this type of experience any day over 10% more power and save a few bucks.

I know it was going through youtube but I couldn't really see any difference on Daniel Owens benches with RT on and off except for the grass flickering with it on. But if anyone really wants it on they should wait for the next gen of GPU's to play it.

From what I've personally seen Nvidia guys are laughing about how demanding it is. AMD guys want it cancelled 😂... For some reason turning off RT isn't acceptable. Game just has to be cancelled...

I've been away for a while, nice set up and lighting! Did you upgrade the camera as well? I think the entire conversation is so funny and the drama this benchmark tool has caused haha. But can't wait for the game in general :) I seen a content creator saying 'Nvidia sabotaged this game, Nvidia features only for this game for it to work, yeah this game is shit, saved me 60 bucks' complete man child behaviour! Mean while 1 video later, 'Yeah I will probably get it to be honest and just not use RT' HAHA

@FanaPants Thanks man! I just got a streamer lamp that illuminates me and basically makes my webcam work better... Sabotaged 🤣🤣🤣... Sabotage by Nvidia surely means no fsr frame gen and no option to turn off RT, none of these are the case 😂.. I mean let's be honest it's only the highest tier Nvidia that can even use RT in this game. So with that level of thinking Nvidia sabotaged Nvidia 🤣🤣🤣.. But yeah I'm looking forward to the game and hopefully it plays well. Even without RT that benchmark still looks incredible, especially at 4k..

I had loads of comments I was dumb cause after a patch and official drivers it would be fixed. I was like dude wtf 😂.. A driver isn't gonna transform it from 4fps to 60fps 😂😂😂... And what would be the logic in releasing a benchmark if it gave no indication of day one performance 😂.. I'm not saying it might gain a few fps through optimisation but let's be real right..

@Spratty-wb3is I had a little back and forth with a guy saying you only get 22fps on native rt and I run out of vram at 4k. I'm like but I can drop it to 1440p..can you? I also asked him can he run it native??? Lmao. The level of cope here is insane..who runs pt with no upscaler..and why pull out upscaling here? It's becusse they want to make the nvidia card unplayable too. So pathetic. Yuk 😂😂

It's an Unreal Engine 5 game with path tracing lol. It's not all that much different than Cyberpunk or Alan Wake or even Portal RTX. I'm a realist and understand the technology to some extent and am enthusiastic about it too because the alternative is you don't like it therefore turn it off. No big deal. The fanboy reactions have been funny though as they usually tend to be about mindlessly rooting for a corporation and conspiracy theories. You have the Nvidia fanboys saying a 4060 can beat the XTX as I had some comments in my own video and than AMD fanboys saying that Nvidia deliberately programmed the game to cripple AMD GPU's which I think they are giving Nvidia way too much credit. I don't think they really care about what AMD does or they wouldn't allow FSR 3 and frame generation be in the games they sponsor. The reality is Nvidia have been all in on this ray tracing thing generationally making architectural breakthroughs and devoting silicon space for it so I can't fault them for wanting to support their hardware and tech with AAA games. That's what I as an enthusiast want to see, tech be pushed forward and the manufacturer supporting their hardware and advantages. It's obvious it makes sense. AMD sponsor many AAA games too no one is stopping them from doing the same, which btw they do make sure all their tech is supported which is great. I find it funny either way seeing the many comments and conversations because its always about blaming the other corporation LOL. It's like PlayStation fanboy channels that only talk about Xbox and everything is Xbox's fault.

@TerraWare I'm actually gonna check tonight, but I think even fortnite max settings is crazy demanding.. My post had about 500 comments and then got removed by admin 🙃... I assume someone got abusive. I find it shocking how emotional some people get over protecting a brand. Like you say it's a couple of games and it can be turned off 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️😂

The whole behavior is fueled by emotion, it's emotional attachment for a product, a brand and defending that brand reason and common sense be damned. I've said it before but I'm all for developers putting settings and technologies in PC games with future hardware in mind. This used to happen all the time in PC gaming and what makes the PC version of the game more timeless. Some people must be able to max everything and get their 60 fps natively or its some grand conspiracy or if the competitor cant be blamed than it's the studio who didn't optimize the game. No I'm not saying that the game must just be demanding for the heck of it but maxing it out should be a "wow that looks sick" type of reaction. In Wukong, I got my 6800XT to do around 60FPS with FSR/TSR on Quality AT 4K. Without frame gen and the game looks damn good too. I'd say technically and visually the game is hella impressive and very scalable.

@TerraWare The people stating the game was trash were just emotional over a benchmark that was clearly worst case scenario. Even after I showed it over 100fps at 4k high settings they refused to change their minds lol... The game as you say appears it will scale really well. There's not even a handful of heavy RT games so the fuss made over it blows my mind. The fact it can just be turned off doesn't seem to matter. But even worse judging by the profiles I'm sure these people were 30-40 years old 🙄 🤣🤣🤣

Im sick of all the AMD fanboys saying you need upscalers to get decent performance well thats the way forward im afraid. on my 4090 at 4k, very high preset, ray tracing maxed and dlss quality i get 75fps and im more than happy with that. Love the way they say that RT is pointless yet will always try running it then just bash it when they realise it runs poor on their cards

It's crazy I really don't get how AMD fanboys feel like they have to defend AMD at all costs and act like Nvidia doesn't get scrutinized. I see all the time big tech channels hardware unboxed, gamers nexus, jayztwocents, Linus tech tips, etc etc…… all talk very badly about what Nvidia does and they constantly say AMD is the low to mid range champs I don't see why they think they have to defend them so hard. Its only the fanboys that say this stuff and the fanboys on bother sides are ridiculous…..i know a Nvidia fanboys ar bad these AMD fanboys are on a whole new level lol

Nvidia is only ever really recommended at the higher end because why the hell not you'll be spending a shit ton of money on top Nividia and AMD cards why the hell not get one that does better at rt. And AMD is always recommended low to mid range. I just don't understand it 🤷‍♂️ lmao

@timothysullivan-pm3sl I know this isn't the case for everyone but it definitely seems a different mindset between AMD fanboys and Nvidia fanboys. For the most part I don't think Nvidia buyers care about brands unless it's the hard-core fanboys. AMD fanboys seems very much more vocal and caring about the brand it AMD.. I mean Hardware Unboxed kinda exposed that this week when they had to re run tests after the backlash from AMD fanboys! That's the second time within a year I've heard him say that 😂
