I always thought Tang dynasty has the most mythical aesthetic and this captures exactly that, and it portrays the horror of Journey to the West demons and monsters like no other. The grittiness and inhospitality of the temples and the mountains really shows the kind of ordeal Sanzang had to face on his pilgrimage. All the other adaptations I've seen either portray this grim aesthetic either too lightly or go overboard into the edgy territory or gets held back by limitations in costume and VFX.

the writing has really improved, just not having an empty, childish story of a hero who saves the world is visionary in itself. If I can humbly give an opinion, I think the boss who asks for leniency and suddenly attacks Wukong is a great touch of realism, bosses could celebrate when they land a hit or even a hit on the copy of wukong's dodge, and then be surprised when they detect no wound. Keep up the good work!!

The game itself looks quite decent but that monologue is not even close to original writing style of "Journey to the West"(As in that way even many Chinese native speakers will have difficulties to understand its meaning)

@@realestatearena The subtle in the video does an okay job for people to comprehend what they try to express, I'm afraid if they want to improve the translation, many sentences can't be translated directly(In other words they need to be paraphrased by professional scholars with good understanding for both cultures). Cyberpunk was hyped up too much with reputation from CDPROJEKT. This game is made by a studio no one really cares/knows about. Even if they do, it's not something to worry about. Also taking a concept and making it a soul/hardcore like game is easy as oppose to making a vibrant world with gazzillion of things you would want to do in games like Red Dead Redemption or GTA. So when they made Cyberpunk, they failed to nail a lot of things and instead rode the train of fame. Hence the failure, in a way. Of course there were internal issues in terms of marketing, overworking devs and other things. This game is not like that. It's gonna be like Sekiro...you go from one place to another, kick enemies, beat bosses by knowing their attack patterns (oh so "great" soul like concept) and so on. So it's not like the monkey king is going to roam around the place driving 100 different cars, flying aircrafts, buying and selling clothes and stuff from vendor, fall in love, etc etc like you see in a RPG like aforementioned ones. If they execute it right, should be just fine. Less things to worry about. Also comparing Cyberpunk and this game are not worth it. one is Story driven, open world/sandbox RPG, this one is more like Action-RPG.

I see many positive comments about this game and that makes me happy but sadly I have few negative things to point out. 1. Even though the snow looks amazing and it leaves trays, I don't know why the character is very deep and not above the snow and then slowly sinking (3:10). Another point about this point is that the snow takes a while to update its trays (3:33 - opponent). 2. Character animations are very awesome but the transition from one animation to another is a little bit laggy (3:50) (6:42 - opponent) (7:12 - opponent) (8:19 - running animation start first without move). 3. Hitboxes do not look very precise to me (4:45)(7:14). I know they are planning to release in 2023 and hopefully, they are going to address these and more, but I wish they could improve all these points and I hope it does not feel clunky in a way that is not pleasant to play, but overall it looks nice and promising.

The graphics are too COOL! The only thing i wonder are those subs accurate? They seem like they are pointing in a different direction, kinda anti hero.

Insane graphics, insane atmosphere, but the wonky combat system somehow destroys it. Really unsatisfying to look at, probably even more unsatisfying to play. I hope it's still a big plan to tweak the system as this is just a demo, because this game could easily be a GOTY if done correctly. Extremely high potential, but they gotta put tons more work into the combat and it'll be a masterpiece.

Yeah it just needs a ton of polish. The hit boxes on the boss move sets seem very inconsistent, and the dodge seems like it has way too many i frames, as well as too much distortion on weapon hits. I have a feeling that, similar to God of War, the fights against more human sized enemies will be quite clunky and unresponsive feeling, but the fights against giant mythical creatures will be pretty satisfying. The dragon fight looks like it plays significantly better than the backhand sword monkey

@@heraldofoptimusprime1624 the fight against Zeus comes to mind. While the animation itself is really smooth, the combat is quite mashy and unresponsive. I think the nature of the game just lends itself to either mowing down huge mobs of little guys, or fighting one giant boss. It’s just my personal opinion, I’m a big god of war fan but I don’t think it’s perfect
