I had one exactly like this in High School... mine was special ordered without the stripe kit so that thrre wasn't another one like it anywhere thst I knew of... the car was a beast I literally couldn't believe my parents bought it for me...people still talk about that ride it is a legend back in my old home state !!!

Hardly a "beast" at 165 hp, especially when a Trans Am was rated at 220 hp. A 2020 Toyota Corolla puts out 169 hp and beats the beastly 1979 Z28 in the 1/4 mile by a full second. That's 10 car lengths!! 😄😄😄

Nice car but that wasn't originally a Z28, the Z28's had a Z28 emblem on the front grill and rear fuel cap cover. I had two Z's growing up a 1979 Brown with the Gold and tan colored stripes with brown steel rally sport wheels and beauty rings like the wheels used on this car and a 1980 Black with Silver Grey stripes like this one but with the two-tone aluminum black silver trimmed spoke wheels.

The engine compartment looks kinda rough. The rust on the underside of the hood caught my attention as well. But it had a juce paint job. 15,600 is the real value.
