DESCRIPTION: What better way to start 2023 than with a Black Ops video. I wanted to see how Black Ops 1 is doing in 2023, and the game FINALLY has working multiplayer matchmaking since the recent Xbox 360 Call of Duty matchmaking fix. I had a blast reliving the nostalgia of the first ever Black Ops game, and I’m so happy that a lot of the OG COD games will now be playable again on the Xbox 360!

I hopped onto mw2 2009 and instantly i was put into a match with a full lobby. Everytime I left a lobby and rejoined tdm it brought me to a new full one. Thank you Microsoft(Kinda)

Black ops was that one game that had everything good campaign,multyplayer and zombies and it also had one of the best soundtracks in cods there is other good soundtracks but this is the one I remember alongside og mw2

I played bo1 last night , it was so nice reviving the old moments when i was a kid Looking at the scorestreaks, the weapons , the way of unlocking 'em by using the match points This game , bo2 and mw2-mw3 are the best cod games ever created Activision was amazing before but now thanks to Microsoft the cods and our community will be finally saved.

What's disgusting is how fast you get into a match on these older call of duties compared to the newer ones. It's literally like 3 seconds max and the loading screen is already happening

I was trying out most of the Xbox 360 era Call of Duty multiplayer last night, and they all work. I was able to get into matches for WAW, MW2, BO, MW3, AW and even BO2 (albeit modded). The only ones that didn't work were Call of Duty 2 & 3 which makes sense. I wasn't able to test COD4 since I don't have the Xbox 360 version and I misplaced my Xbox 360 copy of COD Ghosts. But overall it's great being able to play these games again. Ideally I would still like for there to be a MCC style collection where everyone can be in a unified pool of players.

Just jumped back into this yesterday. TDM, Free for all, and Domination lobbies all full. There were some serious sweaties in the lobbies though. Obviously I was fairly rusty so I was getting hammered. Still, a good nostalgia trip. BTW, I also tried WAW was able to get a couple of rounds of TDM in.

Don’t know if M3RK will read this but if you uninstall dlc there’s more options for game modes. With dlc installed it only says there’s 200 people but without dlc installed it says there’s 5-6k people playing multiplayer

That would be insane, but I'm not sure how that would work, it would probably almost be easier for them to remake or remaster the game and then implement crossplay. Where the games are so old and have been set in stone for years, I don't see it happening, but who knows honestly. It would for sure be a dream come true!
