Black base is very fun, and has more utility than purple, it's maybe slightly less consistent which is probably why competitive players generally prefer purple.

With BT20 being confirmed X-Antibody and Seekers oriented I feel Dorumon support is guaranteed.

I rather play black base but more soc oriented. It is great when you manage to play airdramon with bt16 dorugrey inherit, and getting your marvin played while de digivolving something. Sephirothmon in black base is great for comebacks too, allowing to evolve on top of a kosuke, and then evo to dorugrey, setting it up for free evo to dorugora

So I have something to add onto this. Purple base can run Fenriloogamon which when combined with the goad effect of the Dorugamon and the effect of the Dorugreymon, you can digivolve into the Fenriloogamon for free during your opponents turn when they are at 2 or less memory. Turn passes to you now that it the turn end condition was altered. All your Digimon unsuspend and you can revive Digimon with the Fenriloogamon. If you have a memory setter then you are at 3 memory which is effectively 6 memory for this deck. Combine that with the constantly removal and early game aggression that my list has and I have been consistently ripping my opponents to shreds with a combo they cannot defend against. I have literally created boards of 10+ Digimon using my variant and I love the deck a lot. I have tried the black base and the purple base and settled on the deck I call Chaos Program Purple. There is a Black variant as well which focuses on different tamers and is more option card focused. One is defense and the other is combo. I also have a build I call Dex Program which uses the black base with the X Antibody support instead of the SoC support. That build is much more balanced than the others. Think of it as the middle ground and is the parent build of the other two. I have been working on my Dorugoramon decks since before the new support was even released and I am happy that they are competitive.

I'm afraid the turn pass at 2 or less doesn't work, because it's in your turn only. Otherwise opponents should have turned pass automatically when being at 3 and just paying 1 memory for something while playing against the old Fenri build 😄

For 2.0, I'm thinking of adding 2x Fist of Athena. Access to another Taunt and you get SEC+1/Piercing for 3 mem. Any another tips to improve DexDoru for 2.0

I'd say Laplace Demon for choking? Imagine, you had evolved into Dorugrey in the raising, have Kosuke on board, push Out, go into Dorugrey for 3 and choke for 1 with Laplace and pass for 1 memory if they haven't a setter. I love this deck and the variety but as I was mainly a black player, I'd go for the black base and Love it. Only hard to find space for other crazy techs 😅

Dragon shield blood red look sic if you get alt art deck, if not I believe standard purple goes well with both

I think both cool boy and bt7 dorumon are pretty bad at more then 1 of either in black soc since they get toy aware from the tamers this deck desperately needs to start running
