Proxima seems like an interesting hit for Dracula. After only adding 6 power, Dracula’s lane is likely to be the place she’ll go, making it essentially a 12-power hit. If you win with the 6-power Dracula hit, then the other 6 power gets to go somewhere else.

Yeah great thought, although the last part won't necessarily work, since Proxima goes to your lowest power lane, so it wouldn't matter if you win that lane or not :p

@@generaldemian5370 There are better hits for Dracula for sure, but you usually don’t put a whole lot of power into Dracula’s lane. So even after a 6-power hit, it could still be where Proxima wants to go. It also depends on what order things occur in. When Dracula hits Proxima, he might still be 0-power, meaning his lane is even more likely where she’ll go. It depends if Proxima resolves before the power gain or not. Like with Apocalypse, Dracula hits him, Apoc gains 4-power, and Dracula gets the power of the newly buffed Apoc. So maybe Dracula hits Proxima, she jumps to Drac’s lane, then Dracula gains 6-power.

The hit monkey effect only counts cards you played the turn it reveals. So if you play hit monkey in dark dimension when it reveals it will count all cards you played that turn, it won't count unrevealed cards that were played in previous turns.

That's interesting. I just have two questions then. What about invisible woman? You can play cards on top of her and that counts as cards played at the end of the game. So, wouldn't this be a similar interaction?

When hit monkey reveals it only considers the cards played that turn, in the case of "After game ends" or whatever, it considers the cards played on the turn that ends the game. When you say "counts as cards played at the end of the game", I'm not completely sure what you mean. If you mean "All cards played on invisible woman count towards hit monkey" then that would be incorrect. Cards played on invisible woman the turn hit monkey reveals are counted.

As a discard lover I am happy that there seems to be a solution to Chavez, which absolutely killed my deck, but kinda sucks that it's a couple months away and I'm gonna have to save a ton of spotlight keys for that month.

Had to come back to this a few days later. After playing discard without Chavez the last couple of days I have to say it feels oddly better. It's a little trickier to work but having an extra card in your deck that actually helps it and being able to draw something that can help on turn 6 seems to open up more possibilities and isn't as linear as it was with Chavez

From my understanding you could Sauron and remove the text from Cull Obsidian to have an extra 10 power 4 cost card in the Shuri based decks.

No, the two conditions seem independent. The only ongoing part is that it can't be destroyed, but it will still need to be played at a location with an Infinity Stone. So Sauron would simply mean that he can then be Shanged.

Yes, it should. Sauron gets rid of all abilities, not just the ongoing one. You can play a Sauroned Ebony Maw after turn 3.

For me it is the opposite because all the Feb cards are "old" ones I all have so less exciting. But it is the magic of SNAP no one (except whales) have same cards than the others :) Hope you best of luck, happy snaping

Ironically these cards look good but the caches are the worst for my personal collection they've ever been. I have literally every card besides the new ones in these caches probably because half of them are season pass cards. I'm actually really bummed personally but the true F2P's are really eating this time so it's alright.

Wow we have the complete opposite opinion then cuz this season looks like it's going to be a pain. Black swan and proxima midnight are fine. Supergiant looks like it's going to be my least favorite card ever released but maybe I'm just overreacting and it turns out to be fine. Not a fan of them killing shang so badly with caiera in January and now a bunch of random cards getting can't be destroyed for some reason.

Supergiant's spotlight week looks amazing as a newer player, but I really don't want to be waiting until February to get Zabu and Darkhawk. Corvus and Proxima are the more appealing new cards to me but honestly I can't say I'm super excited for any of the spotlights in February. I guess I'll have to wait and see how all those cards get theory crafted into decks.

I don't expect this to be the meta deck, but I really like the idea of putting all of these cards in Thanos. Imagine Thanos with a 4/10 that can't be destroyed, free stones for a turn, a priority/reveal lock for Alioth, +1 MAX energy on T3 at the cost of a couple stones or maybe even Proxima. Again, I don't think it's the best strategy, but I really like that it feels like it COULD work. It's a shame that you probably won't play Maw with any of the other BO cards.

i think supergiant is great when paired with new alioth, play her on turn 4 with priority and alioth the lane with the most unrevealed opponent card

Supergiant seems like a massive design issue if they keep Alioth as it is right now. Alioth kills all unrevealed cards, not just cards played the same turn as him. What you do is you get priority going into turn 4, then you play Supergiant and another card like a 3 cost. Supergiant stops all cards from revealing on turns 4 and 5 until the end of the game so, unless they somehow outscale you with a Sunspot or something, you'll keep priority going into turn 6. Then, you play Alioth and delete every card played turns 4 through 6 at that location.

I think I saw someone tried the dark dimension or invisible woman +hit monkey combo.. but Hit monkey just counted the cards which were "played" the turn when Hit monkey itself reveals.. all other cards which reveals but played in a different turn dont count.. But I might be wrong just saw this interaction maybe twice

I love how most of the cards that get released are accompanied by other ones that compliment their archetype, so even if you don't pull the card you want, there'll always be something to add on the same deck. Based on her text tho, does Supergiant also affect cards played by the opponent? That's how I understood it but I might be wrong. Still getting her nonetheless.

Yep, you can screw your opponent's deadpool turn 1, or quinjet, or zabu turn 2. Granted, your deck should not depend on early plays.

Supergiant could be super evil against Negative decks if they have some type of popularity. Play when you know a Negative is gonna come down (not very difficult) and just completely shut out their bonus until it’s too late. 😊

I was already collecting venomized variants (they're cool and most don't clash with the base art style of the game) and got a free spotlight cache key when the update rolled around, and even I think it's a bafflingly stupid/poorly implemented system. As the degenerate player I am, my mind immediately went to Shuri Sauron for Cull Obsidian. Since he has an Ongoing effect, Sauron can nullify the other effect as well, similarly to Ebony Maw. Might be a decent placeholder for Chavez.
